Watch FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS S2 Premiere NOW!!

September 20, 2007 by

A special thanks to The TV Addict for letting me know that the second season premiere of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is available to watch NOW (as in right now) on Yahoo!TV.

I got the episode about a week ago but I haven’t watched it yet because I wanted to watch it along with some friends who also love the show, but since you all are going to be watching it, I might as well get on it.  And, um, you all WILL be watching it right?  Even if you’ve never watched an episode you’re going to watch this one, right?  Pretty please with sugar on top?  How about Tim Riggins or Tyra Colette on top?

I watched the premiere online last night and overall I really liked it. However, I had serious issues with the ending. I won’t put any spoilers here, but I’d love to hear what you think, GMMR, once you have a chance to watch it.

I can’t wait to watch it tonight! I love this show!

I think I’m going to wait til October 5th… It’s funner that way for some reason and they need the ratings 😉

Wow. Watching the S2 premiere just reminded me how amazing this show is. I really hope it draws the audience it deserves. No spoilers but what were Landry and Tyra thinking??

First free moment – TOTALLY WATCHING!

  6. Lauren on September 20th, 2007 2:47 pm

    Tim Riggins, you bet!

GMMR, I just finished watching the first season last night and wanted to apologize for ignoring you all last year when you kept telling all of us to watch it. I cannot believe what an amazing show this is! Now that Veronica Mars is off the air, my new mission as a televisionangelist is to get all my TV-loving friends to watch this show.

Yeah, I had to watch the premiere even though it was on a five inch screen and had crappy sound. I enjoyed a majority of the epi, but like others have said, I have some misgivings about a main plot line (not going to be spoilery but I think you know what I mean). It seems a little over the top for our wonderfully realistic show. Having said that though….damn, the actors were BRINGING IT in the episode. Jessie Plemmons is amazing, and he doesn’t get his dues enough. I think this cast can make almost any storyline feel organic. Anyhow, can’t wait till I can see on my actual tv!

I haven’t watched it yet, but I plan on it. This is great since I’m going out of town on the 5th and wouldn’t be able to watch it until I got home a week later. I’m still planning on Tivoing it though.

just started it and 3 minutes in, i’m in love with the show all over again!!! 😀

As soon as I checked your site (which is how I unwind each and every day after teaching 4th grade) I immediately watched the season 2 premiere. I could not keep myself away. I agree with what the others have said about the over the top feeling of one plot line, and with how AMAZING the acting was. I cannot wait to watch it on the big screen come Oct. 5th. The article from Bill Simmons has me scared for this show more than I already was. I am going to join in with Liz and her mission to get every single person I know to watch this incredible show.

I went ahead and watched it- I just couldn’t wait any longer! (And I think I’m going to be out of town on October 5th) Really good- I’m looking forward to the new season so much. This has become my second favorite show (next to The Office) I really hope the ratings are going to pick up this season. It’s just too great of a show for people not to be watching!

I watched the last two eps in reruns after having not watched it during the season and I liked it. Friday needs a show as it is the slowest night for TV, so count me in.

So glad so many of you newbies are checking it out. I guess I can close down shop, my deed is done 🙂

I just finished watching it myself, and I’m too emotional to write about it right now, but expect more soon. And that one storyline that we aren’t talking about because we don’t want to spoiler others….if this were another show I would be worries, but it’s Friday Night LIghts so it’s all good…they’ll pull it off.

GMMR when it comes to pimping FNL, your deed is never done. Continue the pimping please! 🙂

I just finished watching it. LOVED IT! I agree about the Landry/Tyra storyline. Kinda over the top, but I’m not going to worry too much. Tami Taylor breaks my heart, and Matt Saracen stole it all over again.

  16. Psappy on September 20th, 2007 11:03 pm

Umm, just finished watching the season premiere and I don’t think any other show will top it. Period. Ok…maybe The Office, (and yes I’m biased). That was just amazing. I agree with others about a slight worry with one of the plotlines but like GMMR says, this is FNL, they’ll handle it perfectly. Wow. I really can’t get over how amazing it was.

I caved and watched it today and I swear I almost cried about 10 different times. Connie Britton is all kinds of awesome. I actually didn’t hate Lyla this episode, which was a shock to me (she even made me laugh). I’m a little iffy about the Landry/Tyra storyline, but I love those two too much. And Julie, what are we going to do with you. And now I ask myself, what would Riggins do (WWRD)? LOL This show has easily become my second favorite, right behind Battlestar.

Love love love this show! I watched it as soon as I came home from work. I was not a believer last year, but watched the whol season online this summer. “Lights” is one of my favorite shows, and my husband and I can watch it together. Love Riggins, love Coach, love them all.

Good first episode of the season. I think though that it’s about time that Matt Saracen starts to assert himself especially after winning a state title. It will be interesting to see how the one plot line everyone seems to be talking about develops. Too little of Street in the episode and Julie Taylor is starting to get on my nerves.

I love love love this show. GMMR said exactly what I was thinking…any other show and the end would be over the top and all kinds of crazy, but FNL can and will make it work. I adore Landry (“See that’s a Catch-22 because you’d need algebra to make the time machine”) and I just hope he stays that way…you know? Fun Landry.
