The ‘Adopt A Writer’ Project

January 28, 2008 by

ADOPT A WRITER is proud to be participating in the Adopt A Writer project – organized by entertainment bloggers in support of the WGA, in association with United Fandom and United Hollywood. Several independent TV blogs have signed on to participate and each will interview a TV writer about their life as a writer—and as a striking writer—with the goal of putting a fresh face on the WGA for our readers and showing the public that the average writer is much more like the average viewer than the AMPTP wants us to believe.

We are currently working with a number of different organizations on pairing bloggers with writers, so I’m not sure with whom I’ll be speaking, but no matter who it is I’m really interested in speaking to someone personally affected by the WGA strike.

In addition to the interviews being posted on each the participating blogs, a separate website has been set up to help support our efforts. So please take the time to visit Adopt A Writer and check back soon for more one-on-ones with striking writers.

I can’t wait to hear from other writers.

On another note: Can I adopt Mindy Kaling? She and I can be bffs and go shopping and I promise to be nice to her. If not her then maybe I can adopt Mike Schur and he can name my first born.
