What to Watch…Tuesday, July 1, 2008

July 1, 2008 by

Um, when did it become July? Ok, I guess probably at midnight, but still…this summer is flying by. And that’s not a bad thing. Most of the best summer TV has still yet to premiere, and the end of summer means the return of TV (as long as those damn actors don’t strike).

Still without a computer (cue violin). Fingers crossed that I can get my hands on a new Mac Book Pro later this week.

In the meantime, here’s a quick and dirty lunch time update for you all as to what’s on tonight (also known as ‘Tuesday TV Game Show Night’)

Wipeout | 8pm on ABC | Series Premiere
Obstacles featured include Slippery Stairs, Foamy Killer Surf, Big Balls, Dreadmill Door Jam and Sweeper Sack.

Celebrity Family Feud | 8pm on NBC | Series Premiere
Vincent Pastore’s crew takes on the gang from “The Girls Next Door.” Later, Kathie Lee Gifford’s clan challenges Duane “Dog” Chapman’s pack.

I Survived a Japanese Gameshow | 9pm on ABC | Series Premiere
“Human claws” try to place stuffed animals in a chute (their movements are controlled by teammates); contestants must place packages in mail chutes while being buffeted by wind from a powerful fan and objects thrown at them by opponents.

America’s Got Talent | 9pm on NBC
Judges David Hasselhoff, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne continue to rate an array of eclectic entertainers in Week 3 of competition. The top acts advance to the “Vegas Callbacks.”

Hell’s Kitchen | 9pm on Fox
The two finalists visit chef Gordon Ramsay’s New York City restaurant, where they must prepare their signature dishes—to be judged by executive chefs of Ramsay’s restaurants around the world. Back in L.A., they begin their final challenge.

Deadliest Catch | 9pm on Discovery
Captain Phil heads to the hospital; Murray does his best to take the helm of the Cornelia Marie, but the other ships face even greater difficulties as the Northwestern is destabilized, Wizard springs a leak and Greenhorn Moi is disqualified.

Flipping Out | 10pm on Bravo
Noticing that work around the house is not getting done, Jeff becomes increasingly suspicious of his workers and will not listen to reason even from Ryan, who has a different approach when it comes to handling employees.

Yeah, the summer is flying by…How’s the Bones watching coming along?

ABC Family is premiering “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” tonight as well. I’m fearful since it might come down to the regular predictability of pregnant teenagers, but with Molly Ringwald and John Schneider, I’m curious.

Seeley – Yeah BONES is so not happening. I haven’t even made any progress on the shows I was slated to watch before BONES. Oh well. Maybe next year..LOL

Courtney – If I had proper computer access I would have written my two cents on THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER. I was NOT a fan….at all. Maybe the crowd that liked 7th Heaven will watch. To me it felt like an hour long PSA. It made me borderline angry. I will try to post more later when I can.
