Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Wednesday, March 25, 2009

March 25, 2009 by

Does the President not understand that I know which day of the week it is by the shows that are on that night?! An IDOL performance show on Wednesday?  SURVIVOR tonight? I’m going to be confused all day. Geesh.

Heads up – Based on the comments, it seems most of you were digging BETTER OFF TED.  There’s a new episode tonight so I hope you’ll check it out. We need to get these ratings up, and it’s going to be especially challenging tonight since it’s up against IDOL.

There’s so much to choose from tonight…what will YOU be watching?!

American Idol | 8pm on Fox
The remaining finalists perform classic Motown songs; Smokey Robinson and Berry Gordy help pay tribute to the Motown sound. [GMMR: You would think that in 8 seasons the producers could possibly find a way to become more contemporary than Motown night.]

Survivor: Tocantins | 8pm on CBS
“The First Fifteen Days”

Previously unseen footage chronicles life in the camp, the formation of alliances, Taj’s emotional struggle at being away from her family, Tyson’s playful side around the ladies, and what Coach’s teammates really think of him.

Scrubs | 8pm on ABC
Their Story II
Dr. Cox finally praises J.D., whose ego is inflated by the long-awaited recognition. Elsewhere, the interns provide insight to the senior staff.

Better Off Ted | 8:30pm on ABC | Series Premiere
Phil’s after-effects from being frozen have Veronica worrying about the need for a legal waiver; Phil and Lem try to grow cow-less meat in the lab. [GMMR: I saw the episode that was originally planned for tonight, but it seems ABC is switching around the order. Yay! A new ep for me.]

Lost | 9pm on ABC
“He’s Our You”
Things begin to unravel when one of the survivors goes rogue and takes matters into their own hands — risking the lives of everyone on the island.

Life | 9pm on NBC
“5 Quarts”

When a coroner is murdered, his co-workers become prime suspects; Ted tries to reconcile with his daughter

Damages | 10pm on FX
Look What He Dug Up This Time
Ellen convinces the FBI to radically change their approach in the investigation; when he re-enters Patty’s life, Daniel becomes critical to her case against UNR.

Life on Mars | 10pm on ABC
“Everyone Knows It’s Windy”
Detectives Carling and Skelton are shot by a gang leader. When the shooter is then murdered outside of a bar, evidence points to Sam, who has been working undercover with the gang.

Also Playing…

  • The Chopping Block | 8pm on NBC: Each team has to create a dish in one hour for Marco; the teams are surprised to learn that every single diner rated their restaurant with a Zagat rating form.
  • America’s Next Top Model | 8pm on The CW: Cycle three contestant Toccara Jones stops by to host a slumber party and offer tips about a career in the modeling business; the contestants compete in a posing challenge.
  • Criminal Minds | 9pm on CBS: The team hunts for a serial arsonist who targets community meeting places in a small town, resulting in the deaths of several residents.
  • CSI:New York | 10pm on CBS: When a Native American chief is shot on the subway, the team has difficulty communicating with possible suspects.
  • Make me a Supermodel | 10pm on Bravo: The models learn their prize for winning the photo shoot is a trip to Montreal and the opportunity to walk in Montreal Fashion Week.
  • Law & Order | 10pm on NBC: While investigating the murder of a TV reporter, detectives learn that she was involved in a love triangle.

May I ask…what will YOU be watching?

I just want to underscore that tonight is a big night on Damages – I think it’s the penultimate episode.
