Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Wednesday, October 7, 2009

October 7, 2009 by

Guys – I love Wednesdays! I woke up this morning with a little extra pep in my step thinking about the great TV we have ahead of us tonight. If it were just SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE I would be happy enough, but with GLEE and MODERN FAMILY on the schedule, it’s a great night for TV.

And It must be pointed out that little Abigail Breslin is going to be CHELSEA LATELY tonight. Um, have her people and/or parents ever seen this show? It’s not really PG. Should be interesting.

If you have the time, I would love for you to let me know which Wednesday night show’s you’ll be watching.  Let us know what you like about these shows.  Maybe YOU can convince others to give it a shot.

After all this, the least you could do is tell me what shows YOU will be watching tonight!

“Yard Sale”
Anxious to get back into the entrepreneurial game, Hank starts small…by organizing a neighborhood yard sale.

So You Think You Can Dance | 8pm on Fox

Determined Veronica tries to save the sole survivor of a horrific nightclub fire; Chloe seeks her co-workers’ respect and the affections of a workplace crush; Sonia butts heads with an energetic new female doctor; Dr. Harris romances a mysterious beauty.

The New Adventures of Old Christine | 8pm on CBS
“The Mole”
After discovering a suspicious mole, Christine panics when she cannot get into a doctor’s office fast enough; Richard decides to move back in with New Christine.

Gary Unmarried | 8:30pm on CBS
“Gary’s Demo”
Desperate to become a radio sportscaster, Gary tries to get Sasha to listen to his demo tape; Louise finds a way to protect Tom from a bully.

“Dinner Party”

[GMMR: Bad news.  SB recently moved and no longer has Bravo in her cable system (blasphemy, I know). She won’t be able to continue on with her Top Chef reviews for GMMR.  But I know that many of you are still big fans and want to talk about it, so I’m going to give it a shot and take over the reviews myself. Good thing I started watching this season.]

It’s a sad day that SB will not be doing the Top Chef recaps any longer. I loved her recaps!

  2. SB on October 7th, 2009 9:39 am

Awww, thanks Randi! I’ll be sure to play along in the comments because I’m hoping it’ll be on OnDemand within a day or two.

NO SB? NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooOOOOooooOOOO Not that you’ll do a bad job Kath, I just really loved/love SB’s recaps….Who else can adequately express our mutual disdain of Mike? 🙂 Can’t you petition your cable company or something? I’ll write letters! Good luck Kath, those are big shoes to fill 🙂

Oh and I’ll be watching SYTYCD, Glee and Top Chef. DVRing Modern Family, Cougar Town, and Eastwick.

  4. Give Me My Remote on October 7th, 2009 11:16 am

I’m nervous. I have a lot to live up to. Plus, I feel like a big old fake talking about food. Here’s hoping someone just acts like an asshat and I can make fun of them.

  5. Gravity on October 7th, 2009 11:35 am

I’ll be watching Old Christine, Modern Family, and of course Glee! Wednesdays are pretty rad.

I think I’m about done with Mercy. Feels a little too copy-catty of Grey’s at times for me. Glee and Modern Family are no-brainers. Might check out Old Christine and Gary Unmarried. I’m pretty sure the guest on Gary is the girl that plays Deb on Drop Dead Diva.

Oh and post-season baseball begins today so there’s that.

  7. Alison on October 7th, 2009 4:06 pm

I’ll be watching SYTYCD, Modern Family, Cougar Town, Eastwick, and Glee (yay Glee!), and I might catch Mercy online. I’m sooooo excited for GLEEEE!!

  8. SB on October 7th, 2009 5:29 pm

Oh, Kath, you’ll be fine. I am so not a chef and I eat NOTHING exotic. In fact, me and Billy almost ALWAYS laugh about what we’re eating while watching Top Chef–a little McDonald’s here, a block of colby jack cheese there … it’s pretty ridiculous. 🙂 You’ll be just fine.
