I was so caught up in their snipping that I didn’t notice the humor in Chuck struggling to put on the gear. Great acting as always.
Kath: This wasn’t a monologue by Yvonne Strahovski? I barely noticed the set dressing 🙂 Seriously, this scene is proof-positive that keeping Chuck & Sarah apart is the most interesting way to proceed forward. It’s not exactly a “forbidden fruit” situation, but the tension over Chuck’s growth into a spy (and consequently, the loss of his innocence) is phenomenal storytelling.
I also love Chuck’s “self-sniffing” to see if he can pick up Hannah’s scent on him! How much of Casey’s decision to cut off the mikes was because he expected more bickering or because he wanted to cut Shaw out of the discussion?
