Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Thursday, February 4, 2010

February 4, 2010 by

Gear up my TV loving friends because we’ve got a BIG night ahead of us. The full, and I mean FULL Thursday night line-up in back. NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox have all new episodes of our favorite Thursday night shows. Time to put that DVR to work.

No time for morning chat. There are too many shows to discuss. Let’s take a look at just some of the highlights. Talk to me…what will YOU be watching tonight (and in what order?)

The Vampire Diaries | 8pm on The CW
“Children of the Damned”
Bonnie’s date with Ben takes a terrifying turn; Stefan and Damon search for the missing journal belonging to Elena’s ancestor; Damon learns that an old acquaintance has come back to town. [GMMR: I’m not sure I could be any more excited for tonight’s episode.  For the love of Katherine!]
The Deep End | 8pm on ABC
“To Have and to Hold”

Addy and Beth represent a client with questionable morals in a sexual harassment case; Liam asks Rowdy for advice on dating; Cliff hopes to save his marriage.

Survivor | 8pm on CBS
“Surviving Survivor”
Some of the great moments in “Survivor” history feature new interviews with favorite castaways; a preview of “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.”

Bones | 8pm on CBS
“The Devil in the Details”
Brennan and Booth investigate a set of uniquely disfigured remains allegorizing biblical text; a Jeffersonian intern reveals a secret about his past.

CSI | 8pm on CBS
“Internal Combustion”
The case of two high school students, one dead and the other missing, leads the CSIs into the world of streetcar racing

Community | 8:00pm on NBC
“Beginner Pottery”
Jeff gets competitive in his pottery class; Pierce takes Britta, Troy and Shirley along for a ride at his boating class.

(The rest of Thursday night’s lineup is after the jump)

Parks & Recreation | 8:30pm on NBC
“Sweetums”
Leslie objects to a deal the Parks Department forms with a local company to sell energy bars in Pawnee; Mark agrees to help Tom move.

The Office | 9pm on NBC
“Sabre”
A mysterious company named Sabre, headed by a magnetic, unorthodox CEO (Kathy Bates), swoops in and buys out Dunder Mifflin. As Michael balks at Sabre’s new policies, Andy and Erin write a welcome song to greet the company. Meanwhile, Pam and Jim hope to get accepted into a desired local day-care center. [GMMR: I’m over the moon about a new episode tonight!! It’s been soooo long.  And no, I don’t count “The Banker” as a new ep. A clip show with a few new small scenes an episode does not make.]

Supernatural | 9pm on The CW
“The Song Remains the Same”
Sam and Dean go back in time to 1978 and are reunited with their parents. Their mission is to prevent their mom and dad from being murdered by Anna, who is ordered by the angels to stop Sam from being conceived so Lucifer won’t be able to use him as a vessel in the future.

Grey’s Anatomy | 9pm on ABC
“State of Love & Trust”
Derek faces a lawsuit on his first day as interim chief when a patient awakens from anesthesia during surgery; Mark refuses to speak to Lexie.

privatepractice_taye_thumbPrivate Practice | 10pm on ABC
“Shotgun”
Addison’s patients must choose which one of their sickly daughters to save with their newborn’s core blood; Sam discovers that Dink intends to marry Maya.

Fringe | 9pm on FOX
“Jacksonville”
After a violent tremor shakes a Manhattan office building, the sole survivor leads the team to believe he is not from this reality; Olivia must face her mysterious past to save hundreds of people from certain death.
30 Rock | 9:30pm on NBC
“Verna”
Frank moves in with Liz, but what seems like a hellish version of “The Odd Couple” could prove surprisingly beneficial when each helps the other overcome nasty habits. Elsewhere, Jenna’s mother (Jan Hooks) arrives, cuing Jenna to seek wisdom about mothers from Jack, certainly no stranger to mommy issues.

Burn Notice | 10pm on USA
“Noble Causes”
Michael’s drug-dealing neighbor asks for protection from a crew of thieves. Meanwhile, Michael tries to adjust to working with a new partner.

The Mentalist| 10pm on CBS
“Redline”

Yet another full Thursday night! I’ll be watching Bones, Parks, The Office, Fringe, Burn Notice, and The Mentalist, but since I have to work tonight I probably won’t get to most of those until tomorrow or Saturday.

VERY happy to see a new Office ep tonight. And SO pumped to see John’s directorial debut! It’s Community (I really don’t know why I still watch), Parks & Rec, The Office, Project Runway and Models of the Runway tonight. Though the NBC stuff will be after the PR stuff because of volleyball.
