THE BIG BANG THEORY is getting some additional girl power.
Sources tell Give Me My Remote that Mayim Bialik has been upped to series regular status for this season.
However, TBBT fans shouldn’t fear that this move — or the recent promotion of Melissa Rauch to a similar contract — is going to change the show’s dynamic too much. As first reported by Deadline.com, these deals don’t call for the actresses to be in every single episode.

This is a disaster!! Bialik’s character is beyond annoying & not remotely funny. I dread scenes with her in them. Even when the other actors shine, Amy sucks the life and any possible comedy out of the scene. I can’t even put into words how disappointed and distressed I am by this move. TBBT just went from my #1 favorite show to about #20.
I like this. Mayim makes me laugh a lot in all of her scenes. Loving that deadpan delivery. 😀
I’m not sure if I like this or not. She provides a certain amount of deadpan humor, but I’m not that fond of the character as such. :/
As long as they continue to use both Mayim and Melissa as they have been, I’ll be happy.
