Michael Scott & Dwight Schrute! I think Michael is an unwilling mentor to Dwight and seems appalled by him half the time, which is always funny.

Doh, I was going to say Michael and Dwight!

I’ll go with Sue Sylvester and Becky on Glee, then! I love those characters and the mentor-protege relationship makes their screentime so enjoyable. 🙂

I’m going to go back to Dana and Natalie from Sports Night. It was such a good relationship – they were goofy with each other, but also had a realistic repartee. I loved that they were able to rely on each other as the only women in positions of authority producing a sports news show – which is stereotypically a man’s world. Dana and Natalie!

My favorite tv mentor-protege of all time has to be Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. I loved the drama of how it has all played out. Talk about some good reality tv.

My favorite TV mentor-protegee team- Rupert Giles and Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Giles trained Buffy, not just to be a capable Slayer, but to be a strong leader as well in their battles against evil. She, in turn, learned to embrace her responsibilities and taught him what it truly means to be human–selflessness to the point of sacrificing one’s self to save others.

My favorite would have to be Papa Mars and Veronica Mars. They made a great team and he taught her how to be a great detective with a keen eye to spot things others didn’t see. Love their chemistry as well, great father-daughter relationship!

Belushi & Jerry O’Connell on The Defenders. Why? Because there’s no way that show should exist… such a bad idea that it becomes good.

The first to come to mind was Bones and Zach….but we all know how that went.

Probably my all-time fave from TV would be the Mrs. Landingham–Prez. Bartlett, Bartlett–Charlie mentor–mentee relationships in The West Wing…. The one where Bartlett gives Charlie his family carving knife made by Paul freaking Revere? Makes me feel all fuzzy…
