About Last Night…AMERICAN IDOL and ROYAL PAINS

February 2, 2012 by

There were a fair amount of repeats last night, but at least we have AMERICAN IDOL and ROYAL PAINS to talk about, right?

I’d imagine Fox is in a difficult position with AMERICAN IDOL, because on one hand, if we had two hours for every audition episode, that would likely be tedious. However, with these one hour episodes, I feel like we’re seeing so few contestants that it’s hard to care. More than 40 contestants moved on to Hollywood from last night’s Portland episode, but how many did we actually see? 5? Yes, there were a few contestants that stood out, but I feel very little investment in these singers so far. (This also makes the second episode in a row that I’ve liked Jennifer Lopez. Help.)

It was a different kind of episode for ROYAL PAINS last night, as the three stories were pretty separated from each other. I know it’s not likely, but I wish there was some way Jack would survive. And what did you guys think of Joanna Garcia Swisher’s debut?

Perhaps you watched something else? Let’s talk…

I watched the season premier of Royal Pains last night. I watched as the story line was introduced that Boris had died in the explosion. I could be wrong but I thought there was a scene last season that showed Boris at his home when one of his personnel informs him that Hank has gone into surgery.

If this is so, and I really do remember that scene – how is it that Boris died in the explosion?

Does anyone else out there remember that scene?
