About Last Night…THE VOICE and RAISING HOPE

April 4, 2012 by

While there were certainly plenty of things on TV Tuesday night, I cheated on my TiVo by going to a Kelly Clarkson concert Tuesday night. (Which, really, shouldn’t even count as cheating since she’s been a part of three reality shows and THE VOICE’s Blake Shelton joined her on stage to sing a a duet…so…research?)

But I did watch a couple of things, so let’s talk about last night’s television…

Speaking of THE VOICE, apparently my pick for having my least favorite contestant get voted out four times didn’t work. Boo. Instead, we got rid of four really talented performers. I was surprised especially to see Moses and Naia go so soon. This is the problem with the show being filled of contestants I like — whenever they leave, I get disappointed. America, don’t let me down next week…

I felt RAISING HOPE had a few off episodes recently, but last night was fantastic. At some point Burt and Virginia’s meddling in their son’s love life isn’t going to turn out as well as it has, but at least they’re adorable so far. (Burt’s fascination with the SkyMall items in Sabrina’s home was so appropriately childlike, too.) LOVED hearing Hope talk. Plus, Sabrina saying “c’est la vie” to Jimmy and him repeating back “La vie?” was just fantastic. I love when this show is “on.”

Okay, yeah, I skimped on the TV and I can’t even properly catch up today. So I need you guys to shame me and tell me what good television I missed…
