SUBURGATORY’s Alan Tudyk and Rex Lee to Exit

Comments Off on SUBURGATORY’s Alan Tudyk and Rex Lee to Exit

SUBURGATORY is going to undergo a bit of a casting shakeup when it returns for its upcoming (and unscheduled) third season: in addition to Malin Ackerman (Alex) and Parker Young (Ryan) landing new shows, and a source confirms that Alan Tudyk (Noah) and Rex Lee (Mr. Wolfe) are on their way out. (Deadline was first to report Tudyk and Lee’s exit.)

The good news? There’s still the potential for all of the actors to guest star, but I have to admit, I’m bummed to lose so many great actors (specifically Tudyk, Lee, and Young, who had bigger roles in the show). After all, you’d think George would need his BFF post-breakup with Dallas, and Tessa and Lisa have another year of high school, so Mr. Wolfe’s absence will be noticeable.

What do you think of Lee and Tudyk being dropped from SUBURGATORY?

Comments Off on ‘We Have Thoughts’ Vodcast: Danielle and Marisa Share Some Thoughts on SMASH

When SMASH ended this past weekend, I had a lot of thoughts and feelings. After all, it was one of my very favorite pilots from last season, and the journey it went through from that high point to last weekend series finale was…still a little baffling.

So to work through some of those issues, I sat down with my friend/vodcast partner-in-crime Danielle Turchiano (from Made Possible By Pop Culture) to talk about all things SMASH…

Just hours after Mariah Carey confirmed her exit from AMERICAN IDOL, fellow newbie judge, Nicki Minaj, said she’d be leaving, too.

“Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience!” Minaj tweeted. “Wouldn’t trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!”

A representative for the show confirmed Minaj’s exit and FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment released a statement about Minaj leaving the show: “Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to AMERICAN IDOL and who had a tremendous positive impact on so many contestants this season. Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best.”

Comments Off on It’s Official: Mariah Carey Is Leaving AMERICAN IDOL

It’s official: Mariah Carey won’t be returning to AMERICAN IDOL.

Carey’s publicity team tweeted out the following message: “W/ global success of “#Beautiful” (#1 in 30+ countries so far) @MariahCarey confirms world tour & says goodbye 2 Idol http://mariahcarey.com

The departure follows the exit of original IDOL judge Randy Jackson. Fellow IDOL newbie Nicki Minaj is expected to not return, but the future of Keith Urban is a little bit more murky — he’s expressed a desire to stay on, but Fox hasn’t publicly committed to keeping him on.

Are you bummed Carey won’t continue on with AMERICAN IDOL?

Comments Off on THE VOICE: Carson Daly on the Shocking Eliminations

THE VOICE had quite the elimination episode this week when Team Adam’s Sarah Simmons and early front-runner Judith Hill (whom caused Adam Levine to previously threaten that he would light himself on fire if she didn’t choose him to be her coach) received the least amount of votes.

After the show, THE VOICE host Carson Daly talked with reporters about the results, and more…

Some Thoughts on Netflix’s ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

Filed under #1 featured, Arrested Development

As someone who adored Fox’s ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, I went into Sunday’s Netflix debut equal parts giddy and terrified — elated beyond belief to have 15 more episodes with the Bluths, but worried about whatever they held ruining the memories of the short-lived series.

The good news is that after marathoning all of “season 4” on Sunday, it certainly didn’t ruin the series for me. I’m more thankful for that than I can properly express.

But aside from that? I’m so conflicted. (Spoilers — albeit minimal ones — ahead for the entire Netflix run.)
