Many great choices in this poll, but the scene in the crypt between Castiel and Dean in Goodbye Stranger makes me tear-up even now so my vote has to go there. I love those two!

  2. debbie webster on June 28th, 2013 5:58 am

My vote was Dean and Cas in the crypt , Dean will always have Sam but he always seems to loose his friends, he lost Benny and Dean was determind not to loose Cas, who was forced to kill a thousand fake Deans but when it came to killing his friend he fought Naomi all the way.

  3. vinna on June 28th, 2013 8:15 am

Dean and Cas all the way. It was a really moving moment.

  4. Lorena on June 28th, 2013 1:18 pm

You dont really want me to choose between this escenes, really?

  5. Penny on June 28th, 2013 2:36 pm

Sam and Dean, end of story.

Jared was phenomenal at showing Sam’s brokenness, how damaged Sam has become. He really does deserve an Emmy for his performance. And Jensen was right there with him.

This is the only scene I could possibly tear up over. Sam fans have been waiting years for the show to finally break into his inner psyche, and stick to it. So I hope they actually stick to this scene and build on from there. SPN will be a much better series for it.

Why so many of these polls pitting the crypt scene with the finale in Supernatural and the engaement in Bones and Castle’s love declaration? I would have thought one poll would be enough, really. xD

  7. james on June 28th, 2013 6:14 pm

why does supernatural want to make me cry?

  8. RileyJo on June 28th, 2013 6:33 pm

Castiel and Dean completely! So heartbreaking, so romantic, so /necessary/. I really did cry!

  9. Sarah on June 28th, 2013 6:49 pm

Although the Sam and dean scene made me tear up, the crypt scene with dean and cas had me screaming and holding my breath and just feeling all these emotions, so I’m going to go with that

CASTIEL AND DEAN’S CONFRONTATION IN THE CRYPT IN 8X17 ‘GOODBYE STRANGER’… OMG..! No contest here, that scene makes me get highly emotional every time anything even remotely reminds me of it.. We’re family..we need you.. I NEED YOU.. OMG. I can’t take it. Definitely one of the most emotional moments of season 8. I don’t get very emotional often, and I don’t like a lot of tv shows, but the crypt scene in ‘goodbye stranger’ is…to say the least, very, very emotional and definitely a “tear jerker”. omg

  11. kate on June 28th, 2013 8:09 pm

Gotta go with Cas and Dean. Man, the Sam and Dean scene was awesome but the Cas one just got me. It was just as upsetting that Cas couldn’t stick around and had to leave Sam and Dean again and they needed him and DAMN YOU SUPERNATURAL.

  12. Sissela on June 28th, 2013 8:13 pm

Once again two scenes from Supernatural?? That show is winning all the polls! For me, the crypt scene between Cas and Dean. It shows that there is NOTHING Cas will choose before Dean. Dean doesn’t know it yet, but us viewers know it: Cas has chosen his cause and he will follow it to however many deaths it takes. Dean is his guiding star and nothing can change that.

  13. Don on June 28th, 2013 8:41 pm

The Sam and Dean scene was sickening, Dean guilt-tripped for daring to be friends, so selfish of Sam. Gotta go with Cas and Dean because “I need you”, Dean like any other human being needs friends in his life, he can’t be isolated and bear all the burdens on his shoulder.

  14. annie on June 28th, 2013 9:02 pm

The crypt scene between Dean and Cas for sure. :”)

  15. Des on June 28th, 2013 10:02 pm

Dean and Castiel scene for sure. I literally cried. Well, to be honest, I almost fainted. I’m not kidding lol
So there. My vote goes for Dean and Castiel and their intense relationship that it’s the only one that can make me cry and feel like this omg

  16. Anisha on June 28th, 2013 10:16 pm

Booth breaking off his engagement to Brennan. Saddest moment in the history of TV “sobs” 🙁

  17. Melanie on June 29th, 2013 9:26 am

I chose the scene with Sam’s confession to Dean because they had me in tears. The show for me is about Sam and Dean Winchester. Jared and Jensen are Supernatural. Watching the two of them act together has been amazing. Their acting chemistry without a doubt is the best on TV. No one can top that in my mind. I could not vote for the Dean/Cas scene because, speaking for just myself, it was an attempt to repeat the moment between Sam and Dean in Swan Song which can never be repeated.

  18. Melanie on June 29th, 2013 9:28 am

@Penny Once again I must say I love your comment and you get what the show is about. 🙂

  19. March on June 29th, 2013 12:38 pm

Dean and Castiel get my vote. It was a needed confrontation, but I only wish Cas had stuck around to continue hashing out all that needs said between the two of them. Hopefully next season will pick up and continue to explore their relationship.

  20. Ugh on June 29th, 2013 10:22 pm

Crypt scene couldn’t have been a repeat of Suck Song. I saw no stupid plastic soldier (unless Castiel himself counts).

  21. cassie on June 30th, 2013 5:33 am

the cas & dean scene was amazing, jensen & misha did a magnificent job there (well they always do when given the chance) i see dean & cas as brothers not romantically involved, dean’s line ”we’re familly, i need you” takes the thing way back to the period when cas was there for dean while sam was lying constantly to him (& let’s not gorget he almost killed him), & then to the last where cas trys to protect dean by leaving him alone in purg when sam does’nt even look for him. so you see automatically why dean sees cas as a brother. now analysing the scene brainwashed cas was so cold vs dean in the beginning (kudos to misha for that) & when dean snapped him out of it (which btw jensen’s performance was heartbreaking) cas became gentler vs dean, healed him, asked him sorry, absolutely awesome scene & stellar acting from both guys. as for the so called brotherly moment between dean & sam not so much, the only thing i saw was sam whine to dean, once again blaming him for his problems, throwing all responsabillity to him instead of taking responsabillity & feel sorry for his own actions, while dean went once again on forgiving & forgeting mode. come on now if someone lay all that crap that sam lay on dean to you (including trying to kill you & abandon you), you would be so forgiving & forgeting? i don’t think so

  22. Minion on June 30th, 2013 7:27 am

@Cassie – Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I just disagree with so much of your comment. Sam has made mistakes in the past, as has Castiel and Dean. They’re all very flawed characters, which is just another thing that makes me love all of them more. I saw that scene much differently than you did, as well, because for me it wasn’t about Sam blaming Dean at all, but rather Sam blaming himself. One thing that I definitely connect with Sam about is how he takes so much guilt and burden onto his own shoulders. Sure, he’s made mistakes at times, but he’s also done so much good, and his intentions are always pure (in my opinion).

And I personally feel like Dean would “forget and forgive” just about anything for Sam, and to a lesser extent Cas as well. Family is important to Dean, probably more important than anything else in the world and in my eyes, Sam and Castiel are the two most important people left in Dean’s life.

As a rabid fan of this show, I have to say that it is really just about the same for me. There’s not much that I wouldn’t forgive Sam, Dean, or Cas for either.

Also, I thought that the stellar acting extended to all 3 actors in both scenes. All three of these men are just so talented!

I also disagree in that I do definitely view Dean and Castiel’s relationship in a romantic light, and not just a brotherly one, but that’s just subjective to each of us and I totally accept that not everyone is going to see the show the same.

  23. Jordan on July 1st, 2013 11:21 pm

My eyes got all teary with the Dean/cas scene it was very emotional seeing Cas fighting Naomi’s control. You could see how much it hurt him doing what he was to Dean. I was very happy when Dean helped him break from her control (:

  24. Hana on July 2nd, 2013 4:39 pm

tbh, it was a tough pick between Sam & Dean and Cas & Dean, because I was literally waiting for Sam and Dean’s emotional confession for like, forever. But then I love Cas and Dean’s emotional scene, do you see my problem? In the end, I just voted twice.

  25. caseytiger5 on July 3rd, 2013 1:25 am

Nothing against Cas, but I’ve been waiting 8 seasons for Sam to really open up to Dean like that. We finally got to see and feel Sam’s pov. The performance the J’s gave in that scene was both heart wrenching and flawless. Dean may be my favorite but Jared’s Sam absolutely owned that scene. The chemistry those two have came through in spades onscreen.

I have many favorite Dean emo scenes ( from his speech at Sam’s deathbed in AHBL to his talk with John’s gravestone in WIAWSNB to what he said to Sam in Sacrifice). I even have a favorite Cas scenes ( ‘you don’t think you deserve to be saved & TMWWBK). I do have favorite Sam scenes (IMTOD up to Sacrifice).

My favorite scenes though, are the ones where the Brothers cut loose together, smiling/pranking/just enjoying being brothers.

  26. Sheila on July 3rd, 2013 9:49 am

The Sam/Dean scene in Sacrifice was the first scene on SPN that has moved me to tears in a long time. Jared and Jensen both played the hell out of that scene. Sam has been so broken for so long….had Dean not interrupted him, I wonder what other confessions he would have made. Sam just owns my heart, there is something about him that I relate to, that I can empathize with. And it’s Jared’s performances that evoke that feeling. I hope S9 brings us more Sam/Dean moments that are free from angst, fist-throwing and arguing.

  27. Treznoe on July 3rd, 2013 8:54 pm

the whole crypt scene was cheesy as hell.

    easy decision.

not looking forward to s9 if i have to endure more Cas. dude shoulda stayed dead after any of the many opportunities.

  30. Colore on July 5th, 2013 3:54 am

Easy choice, Dean and Sam scene only make me want to puke. Cas and Dean scene ofc has my vote, The way Dean said “I need you” it was the first time I really cried during s8, it was heartbreaking, brilliant performance of both Misha and especially Jensen. Hopefully we’ll see more moments between them during s9 because those are always the best of the show.
