THE SIMPSONS: See the Real Version of Homer’s Dream Car! Plus, Teases For Season 25

Back in 1991, THE SIMPSONS’ Homer Simpson designed his perfect car in the episode “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?” And now, a real-life version of The Homer was used to race at the 24 hours Of LeMons earlier this summer.

“This is a dream come true,” THE SIMPSONS creator Matt Groening told reporters on the Fox lot yesterday, as he and fellow executive producers Al Jean and James L. Brooks got to see the real car for the first time. “This is an episode fans have loved since it was first broadcast in 1991. We certainly did not to expect a real car out of an early SIMPSONS episode. We are astonished and delighted.”

THE FOLLOWING Adds J.D. Williams and Tehmina Sunny

The more people THE FOLLOWING adds to its season 2 cast, the more potential deaths I’m foreseeing for the show’s sophomore year — and on that pleasant note, a rep for the series confirms that J.D. Williams and Tehmina Sunny will recur on the Fox drama’s upcoming season.

According to Deadline (who was first to report the casting), Williams will play Carlos, a follower of Joe’s “who resurfaces in New York City, while Sunny will portray Melissa, a “new friend in Ryan Hardy’s life.” (Should we take bets now on whether Melissa is a follower of Joe’s, too?)

THE FOLLOWING returns to Fox in early 2014.

Hulu to Stream NBC’s IRONSIDE and WELCOME TO THE FAMILY Pilots Pre-Premiere

If you’ve been curious about the new NBC shows IRONSIDE (starring Blair Underwood) or WELCOME TO THE FAMILY (starring Mike O’Malley, Mary McCormack, Ricardo Chavira, and Justina Machado), you won’t have to wait until their network premieres to check them out — Hulu will start streaming both of the pilots on September 9th.
