Marisa’s Top 14 Episodes of 2014

For my top episodes of the year, I did something different this year: I didn’t let myself choose anything from my top shows of 2014. There are certainly shows there that could (and maybe should) have installments listed here, but considering how much television I watch, I wanted to expand the field of shows versus just going over (again) why I loved the top shows.
The following episodes aren’t ranked (they’re listed alphabetically), but I did note which one would have been number one if I had gone that route…
Modern Family: 'The Wedding'
MODERN FAMILY is consistently good, so it's almost easy to overlook its quality, but the wedding between Mitch and Cam was great. So many things went wrong in the lead-up to their wedding, but the chaos led to Jay and Mitch clearing the air about their relationship, with Jay telling his son how proud he was that he's getting married. It -- and the marriage between Cam and Mitch -- was a long-time coming, and it was gratifying to see it done well.
