CHICAGO MED’s Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) may have survived her accident injuries, but things haven’t exactly been normal with her judgment in the time since she’s returned to work.

Among those most suspicious? Her former fiance/current colleague Will (Nick Gehlfuss). “He takes liberties with telling her what to do sometimes,” DeVitto acknowledged to reporters in the video below. “I think it would be frustrating for anyone.”

Of course, it does bring up the question about whether is this concerned because he thinks something is actually physically wrong with her or he simply wants to be a part of his ex’s life, Gehlfuss admitted.

Things escalated drastically in the last episode of CHICAGO MED, as Natalie became convinced a young patient needed treatment his family didn’t want…and locked herself in his room to administer it without their consent.

While viewers are supposed to be a bit unsure about what’s going on with Natalie, “the challenge with it is we never wanted Natalie to be a bad doctor,” co-showrunner Diane Frolov said.

Check out more from DeVitto, Gehlfuss, Frolov, and co-showrunner and Andrew Schneider…
