FBI FBI Most Wanted crossover

“American Dreams” – Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon) and his team come to help OA find a fugitive LaCroix arrested years ago after a bus with 26 students goes missing and he’s the main suspect, on the first part of a special two-part crossover, on FBI, Tuesday, March 24 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The FBI worlds cross over with the Tuesday, March 24 block “American Dreams”/”Reveille”—a staple of the Dick Wolf universe, but the first time for FBI since the MOST WANTED backdoor spinoff.

“There are lots of challenges with any crossover,” FBI boss Rick Eid said via email. “First off, you’re talking about two different shows. They both have FBI in the title, but they’re still quite distinct in terms of tone, characters, structure, etc. So, it’s obviously challenging to combine the two shows and make it look seamless.”

In the episodes, “a bus filled with young children is hijacked…and the daughter of one of our lead characters goes missing,” Eid teased.

Given the high-stakes, the show jumps right into the actions versus reintroducing the MOST WANTED team. “We tried to give the MW characters brief introductions, but given what’s at stake in this episode, there wasn’t time to dwell on specifics,” Eid explained.

But with the teams colliding, it also allowed for new, interesting dynamics to develop.  “I was really excited to watch [FBI: MOST WANTED’s] Jess and [FBI’s] OA interact,” Eid previewed. “They’re both strong and intelligent but have very different personalities and skill sets.”

FBI, Tuesdays, 9/8c, CBS
