Kylie Bunbury and Mark-Paul Gosselaar Revive PITCH Characters for Hulu Promo

PITCH—the short-lived but very beloved Fox drama about the first female MLB player—may be gone, but it is in no way forgotten.

With the full series streaming on Hulu, the latest promo for the show featured Kylie Bunbury and Mark-Paul Gosselaar reviving their characters (Ginny Baker and Mike Lawson), as Ginny was training, while Mike…well, he was mostly sassing her.

“You’re really itching to get back in there, aren’t you?” Mike asks in the video below.

“Aren’t you?” Ginny replies.

In 2019, there was actually progress on a potential revival. “I know the rest of the actors and writers would be willing to do it,” Gosselaar said at the time. “I’m hoping there’s a fun wrap-up. I feel it[s end] was premature. It was a very positive experience and something [I would go back to] in a heartbeat.”

But talks broke down mid-year. “I think, at the moment, it is pretty dead,” he told reporters after a panel for his new show, MIXED-ISH. “I was even growing out my beard. It was right before THE PASSAGE’s possible pickup, I was getting ready for PITCH. But at this moment, it’s possibly on hold indefinitely.”
