LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME is the latest show to have to temporarily suspend production due to a positive COVID-19 test, Give Me My Remote has confirmed.

The new series, which just got a Thursday, April 1 series premiere date, paused filming this week due to a positive test in Zone A (AKA the cast/director, and crew that directly needs to interact with them) discovered during routine testing. Following the established protocols,  the network/studio shut down the show, with those in close contact now in self-isolation.

ORGANIZED CRIME stars Christopher Meloni, reprising his LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT character Elliot Stabler. In the show, he “returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. Stabler will aim to rebuild his life as part of a new elite task force that is taking apart the city’s most powerful criminal syndicates one by one.” The cast of the new NBC drama also includes Dylan McDermott and Tamara Taylor.

The shutdown is not expected to impact the show’s premiere date.
