THE ROOKIE: Frankie Muniz and Rainn Wilson to Guest Star in Docuseries Episode

THE ROOKIE finds themselves in the middle of a true crime docuseries on the Sunday, February 28 episode of the ABC drama, as they investigate a case featuring a now-grown child actor who has a very passionate fanbase.

Frankie Muniz will guest star in the hour, “True Crime,” as the former child star in question, Corey Harris. (Ethan James Spitz will play a young Corey.) Additionally, Rainn Wilson will guest star in the episode as himself.

The episode—which was penned by Alexi Hawley and Zoey Cheng, and directed by Bill Roe—will also feature returning season 2 guest stars Daniel Lissing (Sterling Freeman) and Lizze Broadway (Aurora).

Muniz is best known for his role in MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, with more recent turns on PREACHER and competing on DANCING WITH THE STARS. Wilson is best known for THE OFFICE, and recently starred in UTOPIA.

THE ROOKIE follows a group of new cops—and the officers that train them—as they navigate the first years of their career in the LAPD. The series stars Nathan Fillion, Mekia Cox, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin, Melissa O’Neil, and Eric Winter.
