WALKER, GREY'S ANATOMY, A MILLION LITTLE THINGS

A MILLION LITTLE THINGS – “non-essential” – As COVID-19 becomes more widespread across the U.S., Boston goes into lockdown putting Rome’s movie in jeopardy and forcing Maggie to return home from Oxford. Because the hospitals are overwhelmed with coronavirus patients, Eddie’s back surgery is cancelled, leading him to take desperate measures to cope with the severe pain on the return of “A Million Little Things,” THURSDAY, MARCH 11 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. (ABC/Jack Rowand)
ALLISON MILLER, CHRIS GEERE

Let’s talk about Thursday night’s TV!

WALKER: Ohhhhhhhhhh, Geri. That is not good. I had expected them to make her Walker’s next love interest, but she might have had something to do with Emily’s death? And now James and Liam are investigating without him? Yeah, this won’t end well. (And poor Micki. Her mom stirred up so much drama.)

(For more on the episode, here’s what creator Anna Fricke shared.)

SUPERSTORE: I laughed so hard at this episode. Marcus messing up the bathroom closure. Dina, Glenn, and Cheyenne’s panic. Jonah trying to inspire the, uh, underachievers. I’m going to miss them all so much.

GREY’S ANATOMY: I understand DeLuca died a hero, but, boy, I wish they hadn’t done that.

We had just seen him go through so much. He had fought to hard to be in a good space with his mental health. And he got killed in pursuit of something that is intimately tied to his previous breakdown? Yes, he may not have been having a manic episode this time, but it’s not like he was in a bad car accident or even got COVID. (Which…let’s be frank, it’d be realistic for the show to lose a doctor due to the pandemic this season.) He was obsessively tracking the sex trafficker and now he’s dead. It just didn’t feel like enough removal from his breakdown for this to be disconnected in the way it should be.

MOM: Yep, Bonnie handled Adam outshining her about as well as you’d expect. But I am curious where Rod and Jill might go in this final stretch of episodes…

A MILLION LITTLE THINGS: This is not the show’s fault, but just starting the pandemic now is…ouch. The hour falling on the one-year anniversary of things shutting down in a major way was an unexpected extra layer of pain.

I worry how much worse things are about to get, though. Rome’s movie is now done. Regina’s on the verge of losing the restaurant. Clearly Delilah is going to be trapped overseas for the foreseeable future. And, uh, Maggie is pregnant?!

CLARICE: This was a gorgeously shot episode. And Rebecca Breeds is so good.
