Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

FBI: SCOLA?! Maybe don’t bait a terrorist to make sure he deactivates a bomb. (Good job, but holy….was that a gamble.) But, man, John Boyd broke my heart. When Scola shared that he was supposed to play tennis with his brother the morning he was killed…I can’t imagine that regret and extra layer of grief. I love how supportive Tiff was of him and that he ended up going to see his sister-in-law after a long estrangement. Hopefully this helps him move forward.

THE VOICE: Well, I agree with four of the five finalists, which is pretty good odds. It’s a bummer Ariana was knocked out before the finals, because it really did seem like she was the most invested this season. It’ll be interesting to see who ultimately wins next week, because right now it feels like it could be anyone’s to take home.

FBI: INTERNATIONAL: We’ve seen a lot of how Jamie and Scott’s relationship has played into the team dynamic, but it was interesting to explore how an agent would handle a relationship with someone outside of their immediate circle…especially when they become entangled in a case. I understand why Vo would pull back (though I loved her talking to Scott about relationships and casually making him acknowledge what was going on with Jamie), but I hope she’s able to find some happiness at some point.

ABBOTT ELEMENTARY: Hi, this comedy is charming as hell and genuinely funny. Please watch the premiere before the show officially debuts in 2022, please and thank you.

FBI: MOST WANTED: I know people are fanatical about race horses, but oh my God, my jaw dropped when the woman casually just was…fine with a huge chunk of money being stolen because her horse had been cared for. To be that rich!

I loved having Byron back, and he’s right: Tali is growing up. It was also really lovely to see Jess just be happy to see his dad, and for them to celebrate the holidays together. (Well, for now. They still have their real Christmas episode next week to close out the year…)
