MAGNUM P.I. will not return for a sixth season on NBC.

The drama, which ran for four seasons on CBS before moving over to NBC, will conclude its run when the second part of season 5 debuts during the 2023-24 season. (There are ten episodes that are, as of now, set to debut in 2024.)

In the now-series finale, “There’s a real sort of ending, but there are also some things that are left unresolved that we would pick up if there were another season,” MAGNUM P.I. boss Eric Guggenheim previously told Give Me My Remote.

Deadline was first to report the news.

Update (5:48 PM PT): Guggenheim released a thank you statement via the writers’ Twitter account.
