THE VOICE, BIG BROTHER, FOUND

BIG BROTHER Sunday October 3, (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and live streaming on Paramount+ and PlutoTV. Pictured: Mecole Hayes, Cameron Hardin and Felicia Cannon. Photo: CBS ©2023 CBS Broadcasting, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Highest quality screengrab available.

Let’s talk about Tuesday night’s TV!

THE VOICE: Kaylee Shimizu was really incredible; she should be interesting on Team Legend.

Look, with all due respect to Bias, he was not the best, but the reveal that Niall knew, basically, every word to the Blake Shelton song made me laugh out loud. (I hope for Bias’ sake he gets to meet Blake since he chose Team Gwen.) But Gwen got a good act with Jacquie Roar.

LVNDR was probably my act of the night—HOW was she only a two-chair turn???

BIG BROTHER: America questioning Cory about the constitution…what?!

That THE EXORCIST challenge was, uh, something. The problem with the challenge is that it was too many steps…and they spent the time with Blue, who was the most insufferable person to go through it with. Alas.

But my goodness, Cameron being such a beast is going to make him a real, real, real target going forward. Really, the only chance anyone is going to have to take him out is going to be via a backdoor.

Here’s the thing: Cory’s gameplay has gotten wildly sloppy. He’s basically Cirie, but, uh, less organized. And after seeing how Cirie and Jared’s multi-alliance plans blew up in their face, he’s honestly even dumber than them.

Jag trying to protect him…well, that may bite him in the butt, eventually. I assume Felicia will be going home, but if Cam has to choose between protecting Jag or Matt, he may have made it a lot easier to trust Matt.

NAME THAT TUNE: Megan Hilty!! She was fun to watch. And, wow, Debbie Gibson was so good—it’s crazy her dad was on the show in the ’50s?! I do wonder if Debbie had an extra 15 seconds if she would have been able to win it all.

FOUND: So here’s the thing: I think there are two interesting (separate) shows at play here, but I’m very curious to see/slightly concerned if they can successfully mesh together.

This is not the show’s fault, at all, but I hate that NBC spoiled the pilot’s end twist. Gabi holding Sir? Twisted. Messed up. Cannot wait to see more. And puts much of the first 95% of the episode in a different light.

I do think, outside of that, there’s a deeply, deeply, deeply important story about missing people who are often overlooked by the system. I hope the series can balance that well, and also, uh, Sir isn’t given credit for the work Gabi is doing.
