SURREALESTATE Exclusive Clip: August and Susan Try to Figure Out How to Work Sans Luke’s Special Gift

SURREALESTATE returns on Wednesday, October 4 on Syfy…but The Roman Agency is in a bit of trouble.

In “Trust the Process” (airing at 10/9c), Luke’s gift is gone, but there are still (haunted) houses to deal with. The team’s solution? Lean on August (Maurice Dean Wint).

In an exclusive clip from the premiere, Susan (Sarah Levy) acknowledges they’re in a bit of a bind. “I know this agency was founded on Luke’s ability to see these things, talk with them, reason with them, even when they didn’t feel like it,” she says in the video below.

“A difficult gift to replace with technology,” August points out.

“But he can’t do that anymore,” she continues. “So you’re the guy. There has to be something more efficient here than Scrabble tiles.”

“And yet they came through,” August replies.

Elsewhere in the episode, “Without his special powers, Luke struggles to handle an engaged property by instinct alone. Meanwhile, Susan falls in love at first sight with a mysterious home that has a special power over her.”
