THE SIMPSONS, BOB'S BURGERS, and FAMILY GUY

THE SIMPSONS: Lisa recounts the story of how Homer was scapegoated for a power outage that plunged Springfield into darkness days before Thanksgiving in the “It’s a Blunderful Life” episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, Nov 19 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. THE SIMPSONS © 2023 by 20th Television.

Let’s talk about Sunday night’s TV!

THE SIMPSONS: Yes, on paper, there were repeat elements (a Simpson male tries to convince Marge he didn’t do something wrong, the family gets thrown out of Springfield), but I really like how this came together. (And, honestly, this many episodes in, that‘s the biggest thing…if you’re going to repeat elements, it’s natural. It just has to be enjoyable enough that the repeat elements are not at the forefront of thought while watching.)

The show has only done a handful of Thanksgiving episodes and that element felt a little bit less naturally included, but it was still fun/sweet. Happy to be able to add this to my Thanksgiving episode rotation.

BOB’S BURGERS: Oh, I regret to say I am like Linda and would have done everything possible to save that raccoon.

The kids were smart for selling BTS access to the concert from their apartment. I know they’re business-minded because they kind of have to be, but good for them.

FAMILY GUY: Yep, Stewie’s half-brother…made a lot of sense.
