THE VOICE: Chance the Rapper Returns to Mentor Season 24 Top 12

THE VOICE is bringing back Chance the Rapper a little bit earlier than previously announced.

Chance the Rapper joined the NBC reality series as a coach in season 23 (which aired earlier this year) and the performer is returning to the big red chair in the upcoming season 25 (set to bow Monday, February 26)…but he’s briefly popping up on season 24 as the Top 12 mentor on the Monday, December 4 episode.

In the cute social media video announcing the performer’s return, the season 23 coaches—John Legend, Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Niall Horan—pass a phone to each other, until Horan passes it to Chance the Rapper to announce the news. (Horan and Chance the Rapper were both first-time coaches together in season 23; Chance the Rapper will be joined by Legend, McEntire, and duo Dan+Shay in season 25.)
