THE VOICE: Team Blake Talks About Being on Blake Shelton’s Final Team

As Blake Shelton prepares to say goodbye to THE VOICE later this month, he’s got one last chance to win it all—and he’s bet on either Grace West or NOIVAS to be the artist who nabs that victory.

“It is really an honor, to be honest with you, to be with a coach that’s been here since the beginning,” West told reporters in the video below. “For Blake, especially—he’s a superstar. He’s like a huge artist, and he’s been doing it for so long. And to be one of the two that he’s chosen for his last season to represent him in the last time he’ll be going into the semifinals, it’s really an honor. And it’s really reassuring to our artistry and just us as people to know that our hard work is paying off and that we really can do this.”

“I completely agree with Grace—it is an absolute honor to be on his final team,” NOIVAS added. “To be able to sit and learn as much as we have from him. And the wealth of knowledge that he has, especially being on the show from the start…I’m so glad that we get this opportunity.”

“Overall, there’s also this kind of weight that’s on you, too, because this is his last season,” he continued. “I have to prove to him and to America that I’m worthy of being on Team Blake—on the coveted Team Blake—and I’m worthy to make it to the finals…it’s a lot, but at the same time, we’re grounded in the fact that he’s given us such great advice. And he understands that we both have experience in the way that we do and he wants to use that to his advantage and to our advantage, as well.”
