“It’s Not Over” – With the future of Three Rock in jeopardy, Station 42 and Three Rock host Edgewater’s 22nd Annual Firefighters’ Ball in an effort to impress the governor (Catherine Lough Haggquist) and save the camp. Meanwhile, Gabriela’s mom, Roberta (Paola Nunez), makes a surprise appearance at the event, on FIRE COUNTRY, Friday, May 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. FIRE COUNTRY’s Vince (Billy Burke) got shocked—literally—while out on a dangerous call, and seemed to be on the road to recovery…but only Gabi (Stephanie Arcila) knows that’s not exactly true: his hand has secretly been shaking.

“Vince is always going to stay in denial; he’s in denial,” Burke explains to Give Me My Remote about Vince’s mindset going into the Friday, May 3 hour, “It’s Not Over.” “And whether that’s for his own good or his family’s good, he will stay there because that’s what he thinks is right. It doesn’t matter what kind of condition he’s in. He’s going to not only protect his first loves—which are family and work—he’s going to try and protect everyone around him while doing that at the same time.”

Of course, that’s easier said than done. “It doesn’t really work out that well,” Burke concedes with a laugh.

Off-screen, things are going considerably better: FIRE COUNTRY spinoff SHERIFF COUNTRY got picked up by CBS for the 2025-26 TV season.

“You get into this business and you get into this end of the business, which is primetime network television, and this is the best you could hope for,” Burke enthuses. “This show…it sits in a place with a lot of people who really identify with these people and these relationships and this situation. You can’t get any better than this. I can’t imagine at this point in my career wanting to be any place else.”

FIRE COUNTRY, Fridays, 9/8c, CBS
