The Biggest Loser? Alison Sweeney

Alison Sweeney, who is best known for her portrayal as bad ass and slutty Sami Brady on Days of Our Lives, will take over for Caroline Rhea as the host of NBC’s The Biggest Loser when the show starts taping its fourth season this spring.

“Alison is an incredible talent and will bring not only a great fresh face to the show but a huge, loyal fan base,” said Ben Silverman, executive producer and Reveille CEO. “We are thrilled and look forward to another strong season.”

Since her debut as Sami Brady back in 1993 on DOOL Sweeney has personally struggled with her weight issues, which she candidly discussed in her book The Days of My Life (So Far), which was published in 2004 to critical acclaim. She currently maintains her slim look by running after her 2-year-old son and working out at Boot Camp as many days a week as her production schedule allows.
