30 Rock was one of the best shows on television this past year. One of my favorite episodes was the Rural Juror.

Oh man. Cleveland! Pee herman in a box…Tracy’s being hunted by Oprah…”by the hammer of Thor!”

but my favorite was Liz singing along with her cell phone “Kill the Wabbit! Kill the wabbit!”

  4. Emily on September 5th, 2007 2:35 pm

I loved 30 Rock this past year. I loved the whole Blind Date episode. The fact that Liz was set up with a woman was hilarious!

  5. Elizabeth on September 5th, 2007 2:36 pm

Wow, so hard to pick…I think I have to go with the episode “Black Tie”. Loved both Isabella Rossellini guest spots.

  6. Meredith on September 5th, 2007 2:47 pm

Liz Lemon: Why are you wearing a tux?
    Jack: It’s after 6! What am I, a farmer?

  7. Erik on September 5th, 2007 2:48 pm

My favorite 30 Rock episode was when Liz ended up dating her cousin. That twist was handled with the type of charm no other sitcom could have infused it with. Tina Fey really got her arms around how to push each character in the 2nd half of the season, and I look forward to Season 2!

  8. theEvilAngel on September 5th, 2007 2:50 pm

I think my fav moment was when Liz was dating that guy who turned out to be her cousin!!! LOL!!!!!!

  9. Kristi on September 5th, 2007 2:50 pm

I never got the opportunity to check out 30 Rock because it was up against “Grey’s Anatomy” AND “The OC” – the TiVo can only do so much.. I’ve heard great things about it though and would love to check it out! Marathon style of course – watch the whole season in one day πŸ˜‰

  10. Emily on September 5th, 2007 2:50 pm

I have to say the episode Will Arnett guests in was a classic! Also, When Alec’ Baldwin’s family show’s up at his office and shows just how Irish they are- coming from an Irish family I could seriously relate!

Can’t wait for the season to start!

  11. ilovelamp on September 5th, 2007 2:53 pm

    two words: rural juror

  12. Jen on September 5th, 2007 2:55 pm

So many too choose from.. this is hard. I loved the episode where Liz goes to Cleveland with Floyd. When they are walking down the street and the lady asks Liz if she is a model cracked me up. Don’t we all wish that would happen. I love when she goes into Jack’s office with her catologe and says that in Cleveland she is a model. I also loved the Black Crusaders part and how Tracy thinks they are after him. I loved it anytime they showed clips from his Jefferson movie… awwww good times. =-)

  13. Heather on September 5th, 2007 2:55 pm

I love when Liz sees Dennis on To Catch A Predator! This was my favorite quote from that episode:
Liz: Very funny, you bought a pager from Dennis. Will you take it off now, please?
    Jack: I’m sorry, I can’t, I’m expecting a call from 1983.

I can’t wait for the new season of 30 Rock and The Office!

  14. Starsky on September 5th, 2007 2:57 pm

The Cleveland theme song. It had me rolling on the floor in tears of laughter, and I usually just smirk at stuff I find funny.

“Chef Boyardee was born here, you knoooow…”

  15. Katie on September 5th, 2007 2:59 pm

I’m a newbie, although I did watch an episode when Grey’s Anatomy wasn’t on. In one episode, I remember that Tina Fey was really busy and Alec Baldwin had her come up to his office and was asking her if she knew any jokes that he could tell in a speech, and it turned out that the speech wasn’t for several months! Anyway, I just remember that being really funnny. This year I think I’ll give it a chance and watch from the beginning. besides, grey’s is like getting a soap opera. oh, and the commercial’s for 30 Rock were always funny.

  16. Annie on September 5th, 2007 3:01 pm

I really missed watching this show because i was an OC fan, but since that was cancelled I am looking for more shows…I think that 30 Rock and Ugly Betty are going to make it as my new replacements! πŸ™‚ I would love to win the dvds to catch up!

  17. Matt on September 5th, 2007 3:06 pm

I love 30 Rock. Seriously one of the best shows on TV…

    Moments I loved:
    Anything with Dr. Spacemen
The writers playing Marry, Boff, Kill
    The Beeper King
    The Rural Juror

    and many…. MANY… more…

  18. sasha on September 5th, 2007 3:11 pm

“bread is one of the worst things in the world!”

    the tracy jordan meat machine…classic!

  19. Jenafur on September 5th, 2007 3:11 pm

There are so many great moments to choose from, but one of my favourites was Jack talking about Kenneth the NBC page – In five years we’ll all either be working for him or be dead by his hand – best line ever!

  20. Brad on September 5th, 2007 3:11 pm

I think my favorite moment of the season was the song/montage they did for Cleveland. Since I’m from NE Ohio, I enjoyed that whole episode.

Oh, and when Liz squeezed that guys cheeks and said, “Poop.”

  21. Saul on September 5th, 2007 3:14 pm

My favorite part of any of the 30 Rock episodes were the parts of the episode I think was called “Cleveland” where the black crusaders were after Tracy. My favorite scene in that episode was when Liz told Tracy that the black crusaders weren’t after him and then she walked out of the room and then the guy on the TV said “Tracy, the black crusaders are coming for you.” And Tracy said “I really wish someone else saw that.”

I sound like a 5 year old saying “and then”.

  22. Chris on September 5th, 2007 3:22 pm

My favorite ep was the one where Jack switched jobs with the page. Very funny stuff.

  23. 2mchtv.noschthng on September 5th, 2007 3:22 pm

Well pretty much anything that came out of Tracy’s mouth. The interaction between him and his “posse” and the other cast members was hilarious…

Oh! And Kenneth…how could I forget about Kenneth….soooooo funny!

  24. Melissa Krasinski on September 5th, 2007 3:23 pm

The whole episode, Cleveland. It really hit home with me [I live an hour away from the Cleve]. I loved that whole episode. And it was WONDERFUL. I loved the flashback, “Why are we doing this? BECAUSE THE JETS LOST!!” I forgot which episode, but i LOVE this one. :]

Blind Date, Cleveland, and Fireworks are my three favorites. All that needs to be said about Fireworks is: I LOVE WILL ARNETT.

  25. Delmy on September 5th, 2007 3:23 pm

This show is hilarious, but I have two all-time favorite lines/moments. The first one is when Tracy Jordan says “I love you so much I’m going to take you behind the middle school and get you pregnant.” he says it throughout the episode.

Also when Jack says this about Kenneth, after “beating” him at poker — Jack: [about Kenneth] In five years we’ll all be either working for him, or dead by his hand.

  26. Anastasia on September 5th, 2007 3:24 pm

I haven’t actually seen it yet! I’ve been meaning to though, because I heart Tina Fey πŸ™‚ So I may watch it this season, if I can squeeze it in! πŸ˜€

(Of course, if I win the DVD, I’ll HAVE to watch it this season because I’m sure I’ll love it like everyone else does :))

  27. ayla on September 5th, 2007 3:26 pm

I love this show so much I want to take it behind a middle school and get it pregnant.

The Cleveland episode is one of the funniest half-hours this season, and I honestly didn’t think this show would last more than a few episodes. Glad it did.

  28. Annie D. on September 5th, 2007 3:27 pm

I went to school in Cleveland so that had to be my fav ep, also loved Rural Juror and anything and everything to do with Kenneth, “Funny enough Conan I started right here as an NBC page…”

  29. Alex on September 5th, 2007 3:30 pm

I LOVED Will Arnett’s guest spot…the image of him in that teeny tiny robe is forever burned into my retinas!

  30. Phyllis Vance on September 5th, 2007 3:30 pm

So many funny moments… I’ll have to go with the end of Up All Night when Liz met Floyd (Flower guy). I love the awkward stuff!

My favorite quote is, “I love this cornbread so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant.” πŸ™‚

  31. Erin on September 5th, 2007 3:35 pm

I absolutely love 30 rock!!! I so loved NBC on thursdays nights last season and found one of the funniest episodes was when Liz dated the Beeper King and he ended up on Dateline to Catch a Predator. And for some reason I found the allusions to Conan O’ Brian and Liz dating him so funny.

Pete: There was the tall, gangly, red haired guy who played guitar all the time.
    Liz: Conan

  32. Dave McAndrews on September 5th, 2007 3:36 pm

I Loved The Episode Where They Thought Tracy Couldn’t Read!

    Very Good Show!

  33. shelton on September 5th, 2007 3:37 pm

when liz saw dennis on ‘to catch a predator’

  34. Kyle on September 5th, 2007 3:38 pm

30 Rock is a true gem. Tina Fey rocks on every episode, as she is such a clever writer and understated actress…not too mention, she’s created a show with brilliant supporting characters!

Fave episodes: Rural Juror! – Already cemented in pop culture history as it was a question on The World Series of Pop Culture this year… and Jane Krakowski was hysterical.

Other episode fave – Jack’s industrial video! The outtakes of putting that together were out of this world – should guarantee Alec Baldwin an Emmy!

  35. mg714 on September 5th, 2007 3:39 pm

One of my favorite moments was the whole sequence of Liz and Floyd in Cleveland. Even the “theme song” was great! I think it was written by Tina Fey’s husband – anyone know for sure?

  36. John on September 5th, 2007 3:53 pm

I’m game. I’d love to win this.

  37. Becky on September 5th, 2007 4:02 pm

I have no idea if I can pick one – Kenneth the Page blows everything out of the water. Just incredibly awesome. And Jack. Jack is awesome. His insaneness is hilarious. Wearing a tux after six – what is he, a farmer?

When Liz gets set up on the blind date with a woman. Jack’s girlfriend with the brittle bones. When Jack’s brother comes to town…..

    All around – awesome show.

  38. TheNextKristin on September 5th, 2007 4:03 pm

I absolutely love 30 Rock, and to pick just one moment is like a mother choosing between her children, as long as Lucille Bluth is not the mother in question.

But… I guess one of my favourite moments would have to be from The Head and The Hair, when Liz tries to make conversation with those “cool” people: “You guys watch Heroes? … I like the Japanese dude.”

  39. Angelica on September 5th, 2007 4:06 pm

Wow! Picking one is really hard. Much like picking a favorite moment of The Office. I think one of my favorites has to be Tracy Does Conan. Too many reasons to list why I love this episode. Among them though, is The Blue Man. I freaking love The Blue Man. Also, Past Pete and Future Pete. Oh, and Pete’s splitting of the crowd so Kenneth could get through with Tracy’s meds. Okay, I’ll shut up now!

  40. Amanda on September 5th, 2007 4:06 pm

As everyone else has already said…”Cleveland” was one of my favorites especially when Jack says “we all wish we could flee to the Cleve”.
When Tracy said that he loved things so much he wanted to take them behind the middle school and get them pregnant.
I love the whole bit about Liz being a racist because she actually just didn’t like Wayne Brady’s character.
But, My FAVORITE was when Paul Reubens guest starred and he was turning 25 and he was really excited because he could finally rent a car.
CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE NEW SEASON

  41. Guilherme on September 5th, 2007 4:08 pm

The truly best moment was “Rurrrr Jurrr” and “Make the crab fight the worm. The crab’s getting aroused.”

  42. Caroline on September 5th, 2007 4:09 pm

The Blind Date episode is my favorite without a doubt, especially the poker table showdown between Kenneth and Jack at the end.

Jack: You’ve come a long way, haven’t you, Kenneth Ellen, with your cheap loafers and your page jacket. But you’ll always be a pig farmer’s son, boy, ’cause I can smell the fried bologna all over you.

OH, the way Alec Baldwin says “you.” It kills me.

  43. Delia on September 5th, 2007 4:11 pm

Hi gmmr I love your website!!! Anyway my favorite moment was when Tracy found out that he was related to Thomas Jefferson.

  44. Tim on September 5th, 2007 4:16 pm

The Black Crusaders was the funniest part of last season. Can’t wait for new episodes!

  45. Jen on September 5th, 2007 4:16 pm

Loved the clips of the Thomas Jefferson movie

  46. emobacca on September 5th, 2007 4:22 pm

To be honest, my favorite parts of 30 Rock is anytime Tina Fey is on screen. The love I have for her is 2nd only to Jenna Fischer

  47. jono on September 5th, 2007 4:31 pm

when tracy jordan saw the little blue guy

…or finding out that the little blue guy was rachel dratch

  48. Alison on September 5th, 2007 4:39 pm

My favorite part was when Kenneth is explaining his relationship with his mother to Jack. “I tell her that she carried me for 9 months, now I can carry her.” Actually, pretty much anything with Kenneth makes me smile!

  49. JK on September 5th, 2007 4:41 pm

One of my favorite moments of “30 Rock” this season was when Tracy believed that he was being chased by the “Black Crusaders.” Liz thought Tracy was just being crazy, but then the fact that I heard Jack was actually concerned for him because they were real almost had me rolling on the floor. My absolute favorite moment, however, was when a flashback of Tracy on Conan was showed. I could barely breathe during the part where Tracy chased Conan with the knives and claimed that he was a ‘stabbing monster.’ This show is brilliant but highly underrated, and I can’t WAIT for the new season to start!

  50. Heather Dann on September 5th, 2007 4:46 pm

Tracy Jordan: I’m gonna make you a mix tape. You like Phil Collins?

Jack: I’ve got two ears and a heart, don’t I?

  51. Jess on September 5th, 2007 4:50 pm

I kind of ignored 30 Rock last season. But I got “The Rural Juror” on iTunes and I loved it. Absolutely loved it. I am going to be a viewer this year!
I have my grad classes on Thursday night this semester, but my roommate and I have already figured out how to program our VCR to tape our favorite shows. 30 Rock is on the list. I cannot wait!!!

  52. GreenEyes on September 5th, 2007 4:54 pm

I love everything about Kenneth. I laugh almost every time he opens his mouth, AND at his silliness in the background of scenes. My favorite moment is tiny, but hilarious. It’s when Kenneth is suggesting the idea for his game show, “Gold Case”, to the homeless man “Moonvest” outside the CBS studios.

    Moonvest: “Gimme your fingernails!”
    Kenneth: “No!”

  53. Shannon on September 5th, 2007 4:57 pm

I love this show…..I love this show so much I want to take it out behind the middle school and get it pregnant!!! πŸ™‚

  54. Courtney Martin on September 5th, 2007 4:59 pm

i loove 30 rock. One of my favourite episodes was when will arnett guest starred. He is absolutely hilarious & I am so excited that he has a recurring spot on next season!!!!! Oh, I also loved the episode with the black cursaders, I almost had a heart attack I was laughing so hard!!

  55. Aleena on September 5th, 2007 5:02 pm

Oh my GOD! 30 ROCK sure hit its stride after the first few episodes. Kenneth is hilarious!!! So is Jack! My favorite moment is when Jack crashes the employees poker game and end up playing with Kenneth. The line about the ‘pig farmer’s son’ and Kennth smelling himslef afterwards is the BEST! Of course, Paul Reubens was awesome as the prince- that whole episode was ‘high’- larious.

  56. Sam on September 5th, 2007 5:03 pm

Of all the brilliant lines delivered as the season went on, I think I laughed hardest at one scene in the second episode.

Tracy and Jenna are filming a promo for TGS, and Tracy just can’t get out the words: NBC is back in black this fall, and I’m proud to joing the TGS cast. Isn’t that right, Jenna?

Finally he ends with, “I’m black, NBC! Very proud! Aint that right, Janet?” Then, “I think I got it!,” as he walks away.

Can’t wait for the second season!

  57. manatee on September 5th, 2007 5:08 pm

“The manatee has become the mento.”

    Hee hee!

I didn’t start watching this show until halfway through the season, then caught up on the rest of the episodes on the NBC site. Thankfully there is enough room in my heart for 30 Rock AND The Office!

  58. jenintx on September 5th, 2007 5:09 pm

I’m very glad I managed to catch up on this show online, cause I didn’t watch from the start. My favorite scene is the introduction of Floyd. When he went to Liz’s office for the flowers, the chemistry between he and Liz was soooo obvious. Not the funniest, I know, but just so darn cute.

  59. Carly on September 5th, 2007 5:13 pm

Hm. my favorite moment had to be when rachel dratch was playing barbara walters in the Rural Juror, and the writing crew is listening to her to hear the title of jenna’s movie and Walters calls it: “The Ruhl Juh”.

  60. kenneththepage on September 5th, 2007 5:34 pm

    Liz: Hey…
Conan: Let’s not do this, Elizabeth

  61. Tracy on September 5th, 2007 5:36 pm

My favorite moment probably had to be the whole, “C Word” episode. SO funny! I cracked up about the whole thing! Especially at the end with Liz Lemons speech ahahaha and how she watched a marathon “Designing Women” marathon. ahahahaha! I guess it made it more funny cause the day before there was one on on Nick at Nite.

  62. Hilary on September 5th, 2007 6:00 pm

I’m putting 30 Rock on my schedule this year. I don’t havea TiVo, so I can’t tape it. The parts I did see always made me laugh, but I never fully watched it.

I did see this one part that makes be burst out laughing whenever I see it.

Liz finds out the name of the girlfriend of the guy she likes. Then she bursts into an office saying “I know who we can fire!” Her expression is priceless.

  63. Diane Sparkles on September 5th, 2007 6:08 pm

This is such a great show, I’m glad it is coming back. I love the episode where Liz goes out with Wayne Brady. It is hysterical!!!

  64. Jen on September 5th, 2007 6:08 pm

I love 30 Rock and just caught up on it this summer online. Great stuff from Dennis, the Beeper King during his break-up with Liz.

  65. Erin on September 5th, 2007 6:10 pm

I fell in love after this exchange in the first episode.
Tracy: I’ll have an apple juice.
Waiter: Oh, we don’t have apple juice sir.
Tracy: Then I’ll take a vodka and tonic.

Only the first hint of Tracy’s complex insanity. His impression of how to be a professional is also great.
“Hello, great meeting. I drink coffee, please.”

Last year I was all about spreading the word about The Office. This year it’s all 30 Rock. Now wouldn’t that be easier if I had a dvd to share?

  66. Michelle on September 5th, 2007 6:12 pm

There are so many reasons I love this show…but I have to say it’s the characters. Liz could read a phone book and I’d laugh, Jenna is just so out there, Kenneth (oh, sweet Kenneth, don’t let the city ruin you!), Jack (what am I, a farmer?), Tracy and his fear of the Black Crusaders, the Beeper King, Floyd, all the writers, Pee Wee as a prince, Jack’s family, the doctor of 18 specialties, Liz’s lesbian date. For those who have not given it a chance, you won’t be sorry!!!!

  67. BrokenBrain on September 5th, 2007 6:14 pm

Liz making out with her first cousin

  68. Matt on September 5th, 2007 6:21 pm

I love Halo so much, I want to take it behind a middle school and get it pregnant. – Tracy Jordan

  69. Dorky Dancer on September 5th, 2007 6:35 pm

    the cleveland episode! haha

  70. Alicia Gray on September 5th, 2007 6:42 pm

I would have to say almsot all the moments by Alec Baldwin. But. no one that really made me laugh and cringe at the same time was Tracy Morgan aka Tracy Jordan trying to get his film about Thomas Jefferson made and making that trailer. Or when the guy went crazy and kept seeing that purple guy! πŸ™‚

  71. AMM on September 5th, 2007 6:53 pm

When Tracy fired his posse for being Yes Men. Then later he was in a large crowd of people being pushed around and yelling. Then his boyguards coming charging through the crowd in slow motion to the Whitney Houston song “I will always love you” from The Bodyguard.

    LAUGH OUT LOUD!

  72. Sean on September 5th, 2007 6:56 pm

Too many favorite moments to mention., I love all the characters in this show, but Kenneth is my favorite. He is always the highlight.

I love this show so much I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!!

  73. Em on September 5th, 2007 7:00 pm

Definitely the Cleveland song! That whole episode was amazing.

GMMR – thanks for running all these great contests lately!

  74. bitterpea on September 5th, 2007 7:02 pm

Will Arnett. Long legs. Short robe. No question.

  75. Chris on September 5th, 2007 7:11 pm

Its gotta be either Tracy Jordan’s “meat machine” or the whole Rural Juror thing. Funny stuff

  76. Janell on September 5th, 2007 7:18 pm

The moment that cracks me up every time is when Jack buys the pager from Dennis. Liz asks him to take it off and he says “I can’t, I’m expecting a call from 1983.”

  77. Steve on September 5th, 2007 7:46 pm

There were WAY too many to mention but everytime Phoebe, Jack’s girlfriend/fiance said “Maybe you don’t remember me” I cracked up. One of the best running gags I’ve seen in a while.

  78. Melissa on September 5th, 2007 7:48 pm

    Blurg! How do you pick,
I guess if held at gun point, my top 3 would be
    1. Isabella Rosselina saying, But you know how I love my Big Beef n Cheddar.
    2. Any of Liz’s dates/boyfriends.
    3. The Cleveland song!

  79. Holly on September 5th, 2007 8:14 pm

This show is amazing. I love the constant horror that is Liz’s love life! Plus, the amazing guest bits like Will Arnett!

  80. Kim on September 5th, 2007 8:17 pm

I didn’t start watching until halfway through the season, so I’m sure I missed some very funny stuff. The summer reruns seem to have mostly been of the ones I have already seen. Anyway, my two favorite moments, both previously mentioned, were:

    1. Dennis on “To Catch a Predator” (the first episode I saw), and
    2. Liz and her cousin “The Hair” about to make out just as she noticed a picture of her great aunt on his end table.

I’m looking forward to the new season.

  81. Megan on September 5th, 2007 8:24 pm

Floy’d drunk “man on the street” ad for Tarzan on Ice.

“IT WAS AWESOME. He was swinging on his skates, and the little monkey was funny…I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN.”

  82. Jaime on September 5th, 2007 8:28 pm

My favorite moment is from Fireworks, with Will Arnett and Jack McBrayer in the hotel room. The entire scene was hilarious, but my two favorite parts were “Karate!” and “Touch the peacock. Not that peacock.”

Will Arnett + Double Entendres = Drool.

  83. Bianca Reagan on September 5th, 2007 8:42 pm

My favorite was the episode I showed my Mummy this weekend when she visited me from St. Thomas. It’s called “The “C” Word.” So funny. I loved the fake episode of Designing Women. “This is *my* house!” “You do not cross a Sugarbaker woman!” And also Tracy’s making up a daughter named Shahita who vomited in the Jaguar dealership due to her diabetes. Tracy is so wrong. πŸ™‚

  84. Bonnie on September 5th, 2007 8:45 pm

My favorite moment of season 1 was the episode “Tracey Does Conan”, when Liz and Conan meet and have awkward small talk (since they used to date). Also the part with the little blue person chasing Tracey around. And the first appearance of Dr. Spaceman! The whole episode is gold!

  85. SaraPMcC on September 5th, 2007 8:47 pm

I think my favorite thing on the first season was when Tracey was listing people in the Black Crusaders and he ends with “Gordon from Sesame Street!” Hilarious! That or Alec Baldwin saying, “sure, Lemon, we’d all love to flee to the Cleve.” I love 30 Rock. I hope Tina Fey wins the Emmy!

has to be the tux after six and “What am I, a farmer?” line…

  88. AK on September 5th, 2007 8:52 pm

The episode where Kenneth assists Tracy “on the run”….cracks me up. I’d type more…but I’m laughing too hard. Probably because with each passing moment I’m thinking of more Kenneth moments!!!

  89. Heather on September 5th, 2007 9:00 pm

I really enjoyed the episode where Tracy couldn’t read. HILARIOUS! 30 Rock is a GREAT show.

  90. Jess on September 5th, 2007 9:05 pm

I wasn’t able to start watching it this past season, but I hear nothing but good things…with Studio 60 out, I gotta get a comedy sketch fix somehow!! πŸ™‚

  92. CrazyGringa on September 5th, 2007 9:25 pm

I think my favorite episode is “The Break Up” if only for the part where Tracy and Toofer have to go to race sensitivity training. When they make Toofer say the N word and everyone gasps and Tina says “It sounds so hateful when you say it” was so hilarious. My husband and I still laugh about that scene.

  93. Megan Elizabeth on September 5th, 2007 9:45 pm

My favorite moment of 30 Rock this season was when Jack Donaghy came to Tracy in a dream as his father, Jefferson on the Springer show. An absoloute golden moment. Also, when Liz confessed all of her secrets to Floyd, in the same episode, and recalled the moment she pooped her pants at a buffet, but stayed to eat another plate of shrimp? Absoloute genius. I love this show. It is the second best part of my Thursday night. Ahh, I love you Tina Fey and 30 Rock.

  94. Elisabeth on September 5th, 2007 9:48 pm

    The Liz/Phoebe dramatic showoff.

  95. Annie on September 5th, 2007 10:14 pm

I love 30 Rock! My favorite episode is when the go to Cleveland and actually make it look like a nice city to live in because that’s my home town!

  96. CFO (not my initials) on September 5th, 2007 10:20 pm

My favorite moment was when Kenneth sacrificed himself for Tracy by throwing himself down the stairs so Tracy could ride in the ambulance & get to the show on time (I think it was it the finale). But the best part was:
Kenneth: Mr. Jordan, if I die will you take care of my birds…
Tracy: I got a lot on my plate right now!

That cracked me up. I still chuckle as I imagine that line… πŸ˜€

  97. Diana on September 5th, 2007 10:37 pm

The moment Jack looked at Kenneth and said:

‘My mom tried to send me to Vietnam to make a man out of me…….I was 12.’

Baldwin’s delivery as he said the line, followed by the motion of him devouring the sandwhich. I thought I was gonna cry.

I loove 30 Rock!!! RURAL JUROR!! haha

    Thank you!

  99. Tiffany on September 5th, 2007 10:50 pm

Will Arnett got me watching this regularly, but “the call is coming from inside the house!” got me hooked.

  100. Allie on September 5th, 2007 10:56 pm

the best scene of the entire 1st season of 30 Rock was in the episode “Tracy Takes Conan,” when Tracy fell asleep on Conan’s couch during the taping. “At least he didn’t try to murder me.”

    Classic

  101. Katie on September 5th, 2007 10:58 pm

30 Rock was one of the best new shows to debut last season! Considering I just like to listen to Alec Baldwin’s voice (it’s sooooooo smooth lol), it didn’t take much for me to try it out. The wonderful ensemble casting is what brought me back week after week, though. I have 2 stand out moments from the 1st season. One is when Jack hears that Tracy’s disapearance is due to the Black Crusaders and runs down the hall at warp speed after asking Lemon why she didn’t tell him. The second is when Kenny the Page imitates Michael McDonald telling Tracy that he can’t do a cover album of McDonald’s songs.

Season 1 bonus- The amazing and super cute Jason Sudeikis having a guest run as Lemon’s boyfriend!

  102. Hilary Moore on September 5th, 2007 11:18 pm

Liz: Why are you wearing a tux?
    Jack: It’s after 6! What am I, a farmer?

    Genius.

  103. Post-it Thief on September 5th, 2007 11:31 pm

Okay, Liz Lemon and I are seriously the same person.
Case in point: One of my favorite parts was where Jenna took Liz to the karaoke bar and the guy tries to hit on Liz by asking if the seat next to her is free. Liz turns him down and Jenna points out that he probably wanted to buy her a drink. Liz responds with something to the effect of “do you think he’d buy me mozzerella sticks if I asked?” Amazing–this is so something I would do, too!

  104. Laura on September 5th, 2007 11:46 pm

    My favorite part:

Tracey (on stage): “this is how black people dial the phone: boop boop-de-da-boop-da-boop’…’this is how white people dial the phone: ‘ boop boop boop boop boop”

Tracey (in the office, dialing the phone): boop-boop-boop…AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  105. Dava on September 5th, 2007 11:51 pm

I didn’t get to watch the show very often, but I loved any time that Kenneth made an appearence. πŸ™‚

  106. Drew on September 6th, 2007 12:45 am

The best moment was Baldwin was Thomas Jefferson on the Maury Povich show. “America…which I invented….”

  107. Rod on September 6th, 2007 1:11 am

Tracy: I’m gonna make you a mix tape. You like Phil Collins?
Jack: I’ve got two ears and a heart, don’t I?

It doesn’t get much better than that!

  108. Petu on September 6th, 2007 1:56 am

Liz: Why are you wearing a tux?
Jack: It’s after six. What am I, a farmer?

but I love every moment that has Liz and Jack in it.

  109. Sonny Lee on September 6th, 2007 3:16 am

    My favorite moment…

Paul Reubens as Gerhardt: “Oh, it feels good to laugh.”

  110. Abby on September 6th, 2007 8:04 am

Isabella Rosselini pleading, “But you know how I love my Big Beef n Cheddar.”

    Awesome.

As well as the moment that Prince Gerhardt crosses his leg, using his arm to do so.

  111. Carly F on September 6th, 2007 8:36 am

My favorite moment was when Jenna was doing the patriotic song and dance number and the lit pinwheels didn’t spin, making it look like there were swastikas on the stage. I laugh every time πŸ™‚

  112. Jills on September 6th, 2007 8:41 am

I’m like you and gave up on 30 Rock because of the big night of TV that Thursday presented. Now I’m kicking myself because everyone says it is very funny, even Jenna Fischer. I’d love the chance to catch up with a DVD.

  113. JJ on September 6th, 2007 9:20 am

The entire “Head and the Hair” episode was my favorite part of the season. Looking forward to season 2!

  114. Lisa S on September 6th, 2007 10:08 am

I never watched this show but I have heard from many people that it is very very funny. I would love to win the season so I can spend a loungie Sunday with a smile on my face

I have not seen this show but would love to win the DVD so that I can sit back and watch the hilarity

  116. magstress on September 6th, 2007 10:39 am

I loved the amazing outakes from Jack’s promo about product integration. When he started yelling at that pigeon I thought I would die. So funny.

  117. Emily on September 6th, 2007 10:54 am

Like GMMR, I gave up on 30 Rock early on and now regret it. I’m going to give it another shot this season so I can feel part of the “it” crowd. πŸ™‚ My very own copy of season 1 would be so helpful in catching up on what I regrettfully have missed out on so far.

  118. Tara on September 6th, 2007 11:13 am

I loved this show, but didn’t get to watch as many episodes as I would have liked. My favorite scene is still from the first episode when Liz starts drinking & dancing at “Dark Sensations” and then arrives on set with their t-shirt. So good.

  119. Tracy J on September 6th, 2007 11:18 am

When Jack has his pager on from Liz’s boyfriend she says, take that thing off, and Jack said “oh I cant Im waiting for a call from 1985!!! PRICELESS!!

  121. Jamie on September 6th, 2007 11:54 am

I would say the negotiation day…..Alec Baldwin is a genius!!

  122. Maria R on September 6th, 2007 12:31 pm

I started watching partway through the season and it really hooked me – everything Alec Baldwin does on this show is amazing. However, I did really like the part where he takes Liz to the prince’s birthday party says it is not a date and then changes his tune to impress his ex-wife.

  123. secondrink on September 6th, 2007 12:32 pm

    “What’s that smell!?”
    “Cleveland!”

I’m from Ohio, so that whole montage killed me πŸ™‚ Buckeye love!

  124. Ashley Sumners on September 6th, 2007 12:36 pm

The scene in NYC when Liz is talking about how great the city is and why she doesn’t want to go to Cleveland, and then the lady’s purse is stolen and the guy spits in her mouth. Also “where the hot lesbians at, Lemon?” and the whole episode where Tracy can’t read.

  125. Kim S on September 6th, 2007 12:37 pm

In “Up all night” when Jack leaves Rachel Dratch passed out on the sidewalk citing “it’s better than where i found her”. That whole episode was fantastic and that was just the icing on the cake.

  126. Kelly on September 6th, 2007 2:57 pm

While I’ve loved the whole season my absolute favorite moments happen in “Blind Date” First during the Poker game in the writers room after Jack has taken everyone’s money, wedding rings and emmys and he realizes he can’t read/beat kenneth!! And at the end of the episode as Kenneth is leaving on his bike and Jack says “In five years we’ll all either be working for him or dead by his hand”.

  127. amelia n. on September 6th, 2007 3:15 pm

    “by the hammer of thor”
the multiple times that this occured

  128. Sam N on September 6th, 2007 3:39 pm

Do I plan on watching this season???? The question in and of itself is insulting. OF COURSE I’ll be watching it!!! I am leaving space on my DVR to record every episode.

Ok, a favorite episode or scene…WOW, that’s a hugely tall order. for starters, ANY scene with Jack, but I love the understated moments with ‘Lemon’ and her staff. What comes to mind this moment is the scene when Lemon is getting ready for bed and she’s dancing around for her boyfriend (does the running man, applies vics rub, etc) and then Jack texts her boyfriend. But, that’s just ONE favorite moment. I have about 4,000 more.

Please randomly choose me to win…you won’t regret it.
    -sam

  129. srah on September 6th, 2007 4:18 pm

It’s hard to pick a specific moment… especially because there are so many of those jokes that just build and build throughout the episode (or even across episodes). But I guess my favorite was Tracy’s trailer for his one-man Thomas Jefferson movie. “Writer. Inventor. Jungle-Fever-Haver. Academy Award-watcher Tracy Jordan is… Jefferson.”

  130. Sarah on September 6th, 2007 4:33 pm

My favorite was when Jack was dating Condoleeza Rice. Hysterical!

  131. Jules on September 6th, 2007 4:40 pm

I think the funniest moment to me that I can remember was the whole Josh imitating both Tracy and Jack and what not and confusing them both about what was going on. I just remember I was so confused, yet laughing uncontrollably because you KNOW it wasn’t Josh’ voice. I don’t know why that was all funny, but it was.

  132. Alison on September 6th, 2007 5:47 pm

I am kind of a newbie, but I did see an episode in which Kenneth popped his head up in the men’s bathroom window, trying to convince Tracy Jordan not to jeopardize his marriage. I laughed so hard!

I would love to watch more of this show!

  133. Uzma on September 6th, 2007 6:03 pm

it’s really hard to choose because the entire season was hilarious.
i love liz and floyd so i think i’ll pick liz and floyd’s bedroom scene in “Corporate Crush”.

those ice cream pajamas were so snazzy.

  134. Deb on September 6th, 2007 7:32 pm

“This would’ve worked on Ugly Betty.” So true!

  135. Allie on September 6th, 2007 8:07 pm

I like the episode where Tracy gets kidnapped. That was hilarious. Sean Hayes was a great guest star.

  136. Zaib Ahmed on September 6th, 2007 8:08 pm

    In the episode with the meat machine, when Tracy & Jack go to Dr. Spaceman (read Space-man =] ) for an endorsement;
Dr. Spaceman: (holding bottles of pills) You boys need anything while you’re here? Some reds? Some yellows? Just got some purples in from Peru.
    Tracy: I’m good.
Jack: It would be rude not to take one or two.
    also
The Black Crusaders & evertime Rural Juror is mentioned.
    also
    every cameo by Rachel Dratch

  137. Mariel on September 6th, 2007 9:23 pm

My absolute favorite moment was when we find out that Floyd used to be in AA and it cuts to the shot of him reviewing “Tarzan on Ice” even though he never saw it. “I Want to see it again!”

  138. Alyssa on September 6th, 2007 9:25 pm

My favorites are anything with Dr. Spaceman and Tracy. Also from “The Head and the Hair” –
Hair: “Do you want to go out with me?”
    Liz: “Why?”

  139. Vinny on September 6th, 2007 11:33 pm

I haven’t been able to catch episodes of 30 Rock, but I definitely would love to check it out!

  140. kali on September 7th, 2007 1:17 am

I really liked ‘Rural Juror’. Partly because it was the first episode I saw (free download from iTunes) and it got me hooked on the show, and partly because of the ‘rural juror’ gags. How funny is it that no one knew what it was called?

  141. Steph on September 7th, 2007 8:29 pm

I only started to watch 30 Rock towards the end of the season, but now I’m completely in love with it. Also loved Floyd with a passion, wish he didn’t go…

  142. Julie on September 8th, 2007 12:30 pm

As a general rule, I avoid TV comedies, but “30 Rock” had me hooked from the first episode. Each week is more outlandishly funny than the last, and I’m hoping they’ve got at least a couple of “Kenneth-centric” shows planned for the new season – can’t wait!

  143. leslie on September 9th, 2007 5:39 pm

My favorite episodes are “The Source Awards” & “Hard Ball”
The Source Awards because of the ordeal with the Donaughey Estates wine (“is that a piece of corn?”), Kenneth’s interaction with Ridikulous & Ridiculous asking a member of his entourage to go get his nose back, and Liz dating a Black (it’s his name!). And Hard Ball because of Jenna getting misqoted in Maxim and all of the failed attempts to fix it (esp her interview on Hard Ball and who she’s going to support in the next election) & Josh because he called in sick and came to work for a lunch meeting with another show’s producer so he could get his employee discount. And Liz forcing him to do ‘the crab’ while listing 5 reasons she’s better than him.
My other favorite moments are Tracy Jordan’s flashback wondering why he was turned down by the church of Practicology, just about anything Kenneth or Jack, and Liz’s realization that she could fire Flower Guy’s girlfriend so she could date him even though she didn’t technically know Flower Guy’s real name.
    I can’t wait for Season 2!!!

  144. Chelsea on September 10th, 2007 7:30 pm

I can’t remember the title of the episode, but my favorite moment was when Liz had to write an episode by herself without any sleep, and then she started quoting something off of designing women. i didn’t explain that very well, but it was hilarious to me.

  145. Jeff S on September 10th, 2007 9:24 pm

All the episodes are great! It’s too hard for me to pick a single favorite but I’ll definitely be tuning in for Season 2!

Everything said was actually very reasonable.
However, what about this? what if you were to write a killer post title?
I ain’t suggesting your content isn’t good, however
what if you added a post title that makes people desire more?
I mean 30 ROCK: Season 1 DVD Giveaway | Give Me My Remote is kinda plain. You could
peek at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create post titles to get viewers to open the links.
You might try adding a video or a related pic or two
to grab people interested about what you’ve written. Just
my opinion, it might make your posts a little bit more interesting.
