JANE THE VIRGIN: Britney Spears to Guest Star

Britney Spears is guesting on JANE THE VIRGIN, a rep for the show has confirmed. (Update: Here’s a statement from Urman: “We are so thrilled that Rogelio’s “nemesis” — Britney Spears — has agreed to appear on “Jane The Virgin” in episode 205.  Personally, after hearing about their long standing fued (from Rogelio’s point of view), we are eager to hear Ms. Spears’ side of the story, which we assume is quite different.    #TeamBritney”)

Spears announced the spot via Twitter.

The CW Bumps Up JANE THE VIRGIN and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND Premiere Date

JANE THE VIRGIN will return for its sophomore season earlier than announced.

The CW announced the second season of the breakout freshman series will now bow on October 12th at 9 PM. The new comedy, CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, will bow the same night at 8 PM. (Originally, both shows were set to premiere on October 19th.)

PaleyFest 2015: Talent from SCANDAL, GLEE, THE GOOD WIFE, and More Announced

JANE THE VIRGIN is mid-way through its original 13-episode run, and things are moving fast! The CW ordered the back nine episodes — granting the freshman drama a full first season — but that doesn’t mean show creator Jennie Synder Urman and her writers room are resting on their laurels or dragging storylines out, old-school soap opera style. The CW Picks Up THE FLASH and JANE THE VIRGIN For Full First Seasons

There is some good news in the TV world today: The CW has officially ordered THE FLASH and JANE THE VIRGIN full first seasons.

“We have had a fantastic start to our season this year, with THE FLASH launching as our most-watched series premiere ever, and JANE THE VIRGIN recognized as the best new show this season by critics across the country,” said Mark Pedowitz President, The CW, in a statement. “Over the past three seasons, we have made it our mission to grow and to broaden out our audience, and to keep raising the bar with the quality and impact of our new shows, and THE FLASH and JANE have both exceeded our expectations on all counts. I’m thrilled to announce full season orders for both of these terrific new series.”
