FINDING CARTER season 2 will launch on March 31st, MTV announced during its TCA presentation.
According to President of Programming Suzanne Daniels, season 2 will pick up right after last season’s cliffhanger where (spoiler alert!) Lori kidnapped Carter.
Update: Here’s MTV’s official season 2 description of the series: “The drama picks up right where it was left, in the back of Lori’s car with the kidnapped Carter more scared than ever. This season we follow Carter and the rest of her family and friends as they face new obstacles and learn more about the secrets long hidden from them.
Finding Carter is executive produced by Emily Whitesell (Brothers & Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money, Party of Five). The series was created by Emily Silver. Alexander Motlagh is an Executive Producer. Finding Carter stars Kathryn Prescott (Skins) as Carter, Cynthia Watros (Lost) as Elizabeth, Anna Jacoby-Heron (Contagion) as Taylor, Alexis Denisof (Angel, How I Met Your Mother) as David, Alex Saxon (The Fosters) as Max, and Zac Pullam as Grant.”

Carter Covington on How MTV’s FAKING IT Came to Be

MTV is debuting its newest scripted series, FAKING IT — about two best friends (played by Rita Volk and Katie Stevens) who pretend to be lesbians in order to gain popularity — this week, and for series showrunner Carter Covington (who also created the underrated ABC Family adaptation of 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU), the road to figuring out how to develop this show correctly was a bit complex.
“Mina Lefevre, head of scripted programming at MTV, she and I worked together for many years over at ABC Family; we produced three pilots that didn’t go to series, and then I had 10 THINGS over there,” Covington said. “Last year, I think it was February, she called me and said, ‘We have a project here that really all it is is a title and a logline.’ And the title [was] FAKING IT, which I immediately loved, and the logline [was] cute girls pretend to be lesbians in order to get noticed. And I said, ‘Huh. I can see how in the wrong hands, this premise could be really offensive. But if I were to come in and pitch them this, one of the girls would have to realize she has feelings for her best friend.’ And Mina said, ‘That gets me really excited, we’d love to hear your take on it.'”

If there is one thing you can count on during the annual MTV Video Music Awards, it’s that Lady Gaga’s fashion will have people talking. Oddly enough, Gaga’s ensemble during her live performance might have been her most subdued get-up to date.
So why did it grab folk’s attention?
Well, during Sunday’s VMAs, Gaga decided to up the ante when it came to her androgynous style – she performed in drag. Meet Gaga’s alter ego, male model, Joe Calderone.
Check it out:

Never did I think I would see the day when Gaga would hit the stage in a pair of pants and a white tee.
What did YOU think of Joe Calderone’s performance? Is it possible for Gaga to shock you?
