BACHELOR PAD 2: Melissa is Crazy, Blake is a Snake and Michael-Holly Need to Work Out Their Issues.

August 30, 2011 by

After last week’s abrupt ending to BACHELOR PAD, Monday’s brand new episode picked up right where they left off.

However…it was pretty boring.

When a show abruptly and awkwardly ends that way, you’d think they were building up to something amazing, but Jake barely put up a fight. He warned the other contestants to start voting off the power couples, told Kasey it was good to meet him and told Vienna he had closure.

“I’m kind of glad to be out of that f***ing crazy house,” Jake said as his limo drove away from the house.

So, a bit of a let down, no? Given the way they ended it last week and with no promos, they successfully hyped up a non-event.

However, Jake wasn’t wrong about the house being crazy. In fact, I’m pretty sure half of that crazy came from Melissa by herself. When Blake snubbed Melissa to take Holly on a date, Melissa lost her mind. Crazy. Completely crazy.

Blake, seriously, HOW STUPID ARE YOU?! This is not the first time Melissa has gotten jealous. Yet he kept stringing her along, playing with her and not completely cutting ties. So her absolute meltdown should have been no surprise — the definition of insanity and all of that. It’s actually unfortunate Blake won the challenge, because he needs to go.

However, Melissa’s first real freakout of the night was nothing compared to her reaction when she realized she was the woman most likely to go home. Melissa confronted as many guys as she could, asking who they voted for. Most of them lied to her, because as Kasey put it, he was afraid she’d cut his balls off if he told her the truth.

When she was revealed to be the one who went home, I expected there to be another epic meltdown. Instead, she was mostly quiet until she got to the car and she cried. It was just sad, quite frankly.

Speaking of sad, the Michael and Holly relationship drama is borderline depressing. Michael talking about his feelings for Holly cut between scenes of her “best date ever” with Blake was just heartbreaking. Michael was clearly distraught the woman he loved was out with another guy and the fact that they spent more than 24 hours on their date didn’t help matters.

I’m actually a little surprised Michael got so upset that Holly kissed Blake. Considering they were away for an entire night, you’d think he would have thought they went further than that. But the kiss itself broke his heart, so if the Blake-Holly relationship develops further in the next episode, we may see a legitimate fight break out between Blake and Michael.

Oh, and Kasey? If you lied about your grandmother being sick to stay in an additional week, that is unforgivable.
