“These four shows have had an immediate impact on our schedule by improving nights, winning time periods and adding more hours of success across our primetime line up,” said Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment, in a statement.

Fonseca will play Angie Martinelli, an “aspiring actress living in 1946 New York [who] will befriend Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) as she herself seeks to find her place in the post-war world.”

“MARVEL’s AGENT CARTER opens up an exciting world of new characters for us,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television, in a statement. “Lyndsy brings a warmth and humanity to Angie, who’ll be the friend Peggy needs if she’s to survive the dangers that lie ahead.”

ABC has ordered extra episodes of many of their shows, the network announced.

GREY’S ANATOMY, THE MIDDLE, THE GOLDBERGS, MODERN FAMILY, and BLACK-ISH have been granted two extra episodes (bringing their episode totals up to 24). ONCE UPON A TIME and CASTLE will each get one extra episode. (ONCE UPON A TIME’s extra episode will be accounted for with the two-hour installment on November 16th.)

CONSTANTINE is the latest DC Comics character to be adapted into a television series (in this case, from the comic book series, “Hellblazer”), but this one is a bit more grounded than many of the others.

And while the show is only making its debut on Friday, it’s already had some changes that have made headlines: original female lead, Lucy Griffiths (Liv) exited the series in July, and post-pilot, a new female lead, Angélica Celaya (Zed), will go toe-to-toe with Constantine.
