Charlie Manson gets thrown for a loop in this week’s brand new episode of AQUARIUS when his mother comes to visit.

Unfortunately for Charlie, Kathleen (guest star Dendrie Taylor) doesn’t give him a warning about her intentions. (Which bodes well for how it will go over, right?)

Can’t wait until Saturday to see the reunion? Check this exclusive clip from Saturday’s new hour, “Your Mother Should Know,” as Charlie and his mother come face-to-face…

HANNIBAL, AQUARIUS Move to Saturdays

Comments Off on HANNIBAL, AQUARIUS Move to Saturdays

NBC logoNBC is shifting AQUARIUS and HANNIBAL to Saturdays, a source has confirmed.

DATELINE THURSDAY MYSTERIES will now air Thursdays from 9-11 PM. AQUARIUS moves to Saturdays at 9 PM, while HANNIBAL will air Saturdays at 10 PM.

For HANNIBAL, the shift makes sense — the series was canceled in June. But for AQUARIUS, which was renewed a few weeks ago, the move doesn’t exactly bode well for its long-term prospects.

Wall Street Journal reporter Joe Flint first reported NBC’s move.

AQUARIUS: NBC Picks Up Season 2

Comments Off on AQUARIUS: NBC Picks Up Season 2

NBC has picked up a second season of the David Duchovny-led drama, AQUARIUS.

AQUARIUS showrunner John McNamara broke the news on Twitter.

“With its riveting drama and innovative release strategy, ‘Aquarius’ has excited the critics, hooked millions of viewers and energized our summer,” said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment, in a statement. “It’s no secret that the way people watch television is evolving, so we took a unique approach to how we delivered ‘Aquarius’ and it’s driven some record numbers for NBC Digital and helped us reach viewers who might have otherwise overlooked a great summer drama.”

AQUARIUS is currently airing Thursdays at 9 PM on NBC, and also was part of an unusual experiment by the network: after the two-hour premiere event aired, NBC made the entire first season available online and on VOD.

nbc_logo.jpgNBC is making a big move in the way shows are released: the new David Duchovny-led, Charles Mason-origin drama, AQUARIUS, will have its entire 13-episode first season released online and via video on demand after the show’s two-hour premiere airs on NBC on May 28th.

“With ‘Aquarius’ we have the opportunity to push some new boundaries to give our audience something no broadcast network has done before,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt said in a statement. “We are fully aware how audiences want to consume multiple episodes of new television series faster and at their own discretion, and we’re excited to offer our viewers this same experience since all 13 episodes of this unique show have been produced and are ready to be seen. I appreciate the enthusiasm we’ve gotten from the producers of the show and our partner Marty Adelstein of Tomorrow Studios to launch this series in a new, forward-thinking way.”

The entire series will be available for four weeks post-pilot premiere via the streaming and VOD platforms. AQUARIUS will continue to air Thursdays at 9 PM on NBC in the meantime.

NBC has ordered 13 episodes of AQUARIUS, a straight-to-series drama starring soon-to-be-former CALIFORNICATION star David Duchovny.

Per NBC, AQUARIUS is a “gripping drama series set in the late 1960s, Duchovny stars as a Los Angeles police sergeant with a complicated personal life who starts tracking a small-time criminal and budding cult leader seeking out vulnerable women to join his “cause.” The name of that man is Charles Manson. The twists and turns of a complicated undercover operation will lead Duchovny’s character and his young partner to the brink of Manson’s crimes that will eventually lead to the Tate-LaBianca murders in subsequent seasons.”
