“He Sees Dead People” – When Jay’s sister, Bela (Puna Patel), and her boyfriend, Eric (Andrew Leeds), visit Woodstone Mansion, Eric reveals a major change that took place after his near-death experience there over Christmas, on the CBS Original series GHOSTS, Thursday, Feb. 29 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. The GHOSTS universe expands on the Thursday, April 25 episode, “The Traveling Agent,” as Pete (Richie Moriarty) discovers his ghost power.

“We thought that Román Zaragoza [who plays Sass] got the very best power, which is to be able to invade dreams,” Rebecca Wisocky, who plays Hetty, tells Give Me My Remote. “We were all desperately jealous at that [reveal earlier this season]; we all want a piece of that…until we heard what they had cooked up for Pete.”

“I think people are gonna go nuts,” she continues. “People are gonna love it. And Richie really shines in the episode and the storyline. It’s a chance to see a side of him that no one has seen yet. And he’s so magnificent and so funny. Talk about expanding the mythology! Richie Moriarty’s ghost power is gonna blow your mind.”

Moriarty acknowledges the actors whose ghost powers have yet to be revealed have “been so anxious” to learn what they’re able to do—and, initially, he thought he’d have an entirely different ability.

“There was a moment, I think it was in season 2, where we read a table draft where Pete’s power was something totally different,” he recalls. “And they ended up changing that; they ended up pulling that from an episode…and we didn’t do anything about it. And I was kind of heartbroken, because I liked where it went, and I was excited to finally have a ghost power reveal.”

“But then, when I read this table draft, I was like, ‘This offers so many different opportunities for this character—and narratively for the show as a whole,’” he continues. “So I was so excited to read the table draft. I got some whisperings of what it might be before we read the draft from [showrunner] Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. And I was just thrilled to read it and just really excited for what this means for Pete.”

GHOSTS, Thursdays, 8:30/7:30c, CBS
