Although it was no easy task, I chose my favorite moment from each this past season’s episodes to share with you. And no, Jim’s shirtless scene didn’t make the cut (surprised? so am I!).

To enter: It’s simple and fun (that’s what she said). Share your favorite moment from Season 4 of THE OFFICE and you are automatically entered to win. A random winner will be chosen from all the valid entries. Please make sure that the email address you provide is valid so I can contact you if you are the winner.

FUN RUN
Kevin: Are you kidding me? Pam and Jim are totally hooking up

The wait was over. Jim & Pam were finally revealed as a couple and life has been good ever since. I was in Cali watching this episode with my friends K, K & J and I remember being so happy that my show was back. Little did we know the crazy season we were in for with the WGA strike, Ryan the douchebag, Toby the creepy perv and the demise of Dwangela, among so many other great things.

DUNDER MIFFLIN INFINITY

Kelly: I hope you’re still committed, because I’m pregnant. And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it. [cut to Kelly shaking her head no]

This is right up there in my top moments of S4 of THE OFFICE. Kelly shaking her head no was so pitch perfect that I am still laughing today just thinking about it. And this isn’t the last of Kelly Kapoor that you’re going to see on this list (but this video is some of the best Kelly Kapoor moments ever)

LAUNCH PARTY
Andy: If you change your mind, I’m the first in line. Honey I’m still free take a chance on me.Andy Bernard backed by Here Comes Treble professes his love for Angela Martin and forever changes “Take a Chance of Me” for millions of people worldwide. Really, can you listen to that song without hearing Andy? Cheers to Ed Helms for that great moment.

MONEY
Kelly: Ryan used me as an objectFor me, the greatest piece of ensemble acting in all four season was this conference room scene. “Money” was the directing debut of Paul Lieberstein and I thought this particular scene demonstrated just what an amazing ensemble cast THE OFFICE really is. Well played.

LOCAL AD
Dwight: I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then, my life was so great, that I literally wanted a second one…Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly.I think this quote says it all. Dwight Shelford. Classic. Oh and I don’t want to forget about Philly Jim. Jim’s Second Life character was actually a small part of an arc that we didn’t really see play out this season because of the strike, but perhaps next season we will see Jim Halpert finally step up and go after what he wants (besides just Pam)

BRANCH WARS
Michael: “Take her to a motel, make love to her”
Jim: “No. I’m not doing that.”
Michael: “Just say that you want to get back together.”
Jim: “No! I’m not doing that.”
Michael: It doesn’t have to mean anything, just do it for Stanely. Come on Jim, just climb on top of her and think about Stanley.”
Michael: “Jim, if this is it for me promise me something…host the Dundies”
The tears streaming down my face during this season…oh man. A fantastic moment between Michal and Jim especially given that we don’t see Michael at all. “…host the Dundies” - Good God that was brilliant! Oh and the return of Karen “shut it ’shida” Fillipelli. Who knew I missed her? Not me, but I did.

SURVIVOR MAN
Michael: Ten years, you’ll figure it out.
Jim: Well, I don’t think I’ll be here in ten years.
Michael: That’s what I said (pause) That’s what she said.
Jim: That’s what who said?
Michael: I never know. I just say it. I say stuff like that, you know, to lighten the tension. When things sort of get hard.
Jim: That’s what she said.
Michael: Hey..nice. Really good. Bravo, my young ward.

Once again we got a little taste of what Jim’s future might hold if he doesn’t start to be a little more proactive in his life. Sorry, but another great moment between Carell and Krasinski. For better or worse I remember watching this season and not seeing the characters, but the actors. It felt like a great improvised moment…not sure if it was but it was great.

THE DEPOSITION
Kelly: I don’t talk trash. I talk smack. They’re totally different. Trash talk is all hypothetical, like, “Your momma is so fat, she could eat the Internet.” But smack talk is, happening like, right now. Like, “you’re ugly and I know it for a fact, ’cause I got the evidence. Right there.”

Ms. Kapoor makes my list again, but come on you know she totally deserves it. I’m starting a petition for The Kelly Kapoor Story Hour. Who’s with me?

DINNER PARTY
You took me by the hand,
Made me a man
That one night
You made everything all right

Hunter. Oh poor, innocent, most-likely-defiled-by-your-much-older-boss, Hunter. I sang this song for days after this episode aired. And now I’m going to have it in my head again. Dammit!

CHAIR MODEL
Pam: not gonna move in with anyone unless I’m engaged.
Jim: Have I not proposed to you yet?
I was in the Caribbean with no access to TV when this episode aired. I remember checking my email before I went to bed and inbox being flooded with notes from OFFICE fans wondering what I thought about the scene. I was spoiled rotten before I got to see this play out so I didn’t have that same stomach dropping moment when Jim and Pam first talked marriage or during the first of the oh so many fake out proposals, but I loved it all the same. It why I refuse to erase this episode until my S4 DVDs are firmly in hand.

NIGHT OUT
Toby: I am moving to Costa Rica.Pervy Toby crosses a line before hopping a fence. If I hadn’t been spoiled that someone was leaving the show I would have thought that Toby’s ill timed confession about moving to Costa Rica was just an excuse to get out the awkward situation. Just a few short weeks later Toby Flenderson was gone…or was he?

DID I STUTTER?
Michael: Have you ever been in a gang?
Darryl: The Latin Kings. The Warriors. Newsies.

Darryl! Darryl! Darryl! It was great to see Craig Robinson more this season. All of his scenes with Kelly were great, but I had to pick this brilliant exchange with Michael as my favorite Darryl moment of the season. I mean come on..fluffy fingers? Dinka Flinka.

JOB FAIR
Michael: Yeah. Kiss her. Kiss her good.

So there a few Jim & Pam moments on this list…sue me. Hell, I could make a whole list of nothing but my favorite Jam moments of the season (hmmm..maybe not a bad idea). But come on, it’s not everyday that I get to see John Krasinski loving on a woman like that. And come to think of it, it’s not something I want to see again anytime soon. Scratch this one off the list..I hated this scene.

GOODBYE TOBY
Holly: This is a button.

How Amy Ryan was not nominated for an Emy for best guest star after her amazing stint as Holly Flax is beyond me. The season finale was just so pitch perfect, and Amy Ryan’s cameo so dead on in so many ways that it was a near perfect episode (if only Jim had proposed). I can’t tell you how excited I am to see Amy Ryan return to the show in Season 5. Hopefully they can convince her to stay around for a long, long time. The thought of Michael Scott having a soul mate thrills me to no end.

Runner up:
Jim: “I’m going to propose tonight. Holy Crap!”
Yeah, but you didn’t so….And that’s that. Some of my very favorite moments of Season 4 of THE OFFICE. It wasn’t easy (that’s what she said).

Now that I’ve shared my favorite Dunder Mifflinites, I turn it over to you. What are YOUR favorite moments of THE OFFICE Season 4? Just for sharing you’ll be entered to win THE OFFICE Season 4 on DVD.

  1. Jo Says:

Best moment in Season Four (and in the top series wise): Dwight explaining to Angela what happened to her cat.

  2. Carly Says:

My favorite moment had to be during Dinner Party. The scene where Jim tries to bail on Pam because is apartment is flooded/ on fire. Theyre so comfortable together. I love it.

  3. Tessa Says:

My favorite moment was the cold open where everyone is watching the DVD screensaver bouncing around the TV. Heck, that’s one of my all time favorite cold opens period. You know I have totally done that before. Those screensavers really suck you in! I love scenes where the entire cast is together, and it gets some bonus points for Michael’s oblivious reaction.

  4. Emily Says:

When Pam and Jim get busted by the “camera crew” about dating and seeing how giddy they are about their relationship.

  5. Michelle S. Says:

It’s hard for me to pick one but it has to be the dinner party. The way Jan went nuts is the funniest thing. During the promos for that episode, where they showed Michael yelling, “THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!” always cracked me up and I was so anxious to see why he yelled it like that! I can’t wait to see the outtakes!

  6. Jaz Says:

My favorite moment was when Jim gave Dwight the pep talk in the stairwell of “Money,” then Dwight snaped out of his funk and went back to his sales calls. The look between Jim & Pam was precious, showing us how much they really cared for Dwight.

  7. THE OFFICE Season 4 on DVD Giveaway Says:

[...] Original Give Me My Remote [...]

  8. Jennie Says:

“Yeah, I have a question. How dare you.” I love Kelly being bitter at Ryan.

  9. Sara Says:

Any moment from Dinner Party. That whole episode was amazing from start to finish.

  10. Stephanie Says:

Michael driving his car into the lake.

  11. Jaime Says:

For me, it’s absolutely Jim’s almost proposal in Goodbye, Toby. The whole episode (the whole second half of the season, really), with him thinking about it, then realizing that he HAD to propose at the office, and then planning it…..You can see the EXACT moment he was going to his mouth, you see Pam realize exactly what’s going on, just to have it ruined. It’s a beautiful moment that perfectly shows what The Office is all about.

Also, it made me giggle like a schoolgirl.

  12. Adam Says:

Easy. The first thing that poppd in my head…..

    From “The Deposition”

Jan’s lawyer: How long have you known Ms. Levinson?

Michael Scott: Six years and two months.

Jan’s lawyer: And you were directly under her the entire time?

Michael Scott: That’s what she said.

    Jan’s lawyer: Excuse me?

Michael Scott: [slowly] That’s what she said.

    …..

Jan: If I may, he was just telling a joke before, so can we move on to a different question?

    Jan’s lawyer: Are you sure?

    Jan: Uh, yes.

Jan’s lawyer: Can you go back to where this digression began?

Court reporter: [reading] Mr. Schneider. And you were directly under her the entire time? Mr. Scott. That’s what she said.

Michael Scott: Well. Delivery’s all wrong. She’s butchering it.

    Classic!

  13. JJ Says:

Favorite moment was Holly treating Kevin like he’s “slow.” Absolutely brilliant.

  14. Jessica Eager Says:

My fave moment is the whole Beet Farm episode, especially when Dwight reads Harry Potter to Jim and Pam (and Moses). The best!

  15. Maggie Says:

My favorite moment of the season was watching the ad that Michael put together. Because it was kind of funny, definitely weird, a little bit terrible (but not really), and genuinely sweet. Just like Michael. And the entire branch got to take part and do what they do best.

  16. Emily Says:

    Favorite moment from S4….
Ya know. There was a plethora of Jim/Pam moments to chose from, most notiably the ring and the fact he was going to propose Tonight (*sigh* it didn’t happen).
However, since I knew spoilers, I mean, it was still amazing amazing seeing them on screen, but my favorite moment is a lot simpler.

Michael/Holly in the finale. I had only gone into it knowing she was the new HR rep. I didn’t know about the Michael love. And how simple and cute it was between them. Reminded me a lot of Jim and Pam in the early days. Yoga Yoda. Woman on the floor beside chair. All gold. They are so cute and challenging Jim and Pam as my OTP.

  17. Maggie Says:

This is so hard! (That’s what she said! he he) How do I choose?

I love Kelly’s explanation of smack talk, and how she and Pam were going to “settle this” by playing ping pong themselves but they were both terrible.

I love how Jim was basically kidnapped by Michael and Dwight to prank the Utica branch.

I love how Pam had to drive back to the office for Michael’s single piece of paper.

But maybe my favorite was when Michael and Dwight surprised Ryan at the New York nightclub, and after he was glad to see them, they were like… “It’s Michael and Dwight.” Or when Michael said he doesn’t understand a minute of The Wire.

Or when Angela was backing up Jan’s attacks on Pam at the dinner party…

    There are too many favorites!!

  18. Maggie Says:

    No, no! I have it!

When Jim tried to be efficient and have everyone finish their work on Friday night and he got everyone locked in. Poor Jim. :)

    And Toby rubbing Pam’s knee!

  19. Veronica Says:

    FUN RUN
-All the Jim and Pam moments, this was my favorite episode for Jam! Toby winning the run was pretty great too!

  20. Sabrina Sanchez Says:

My favorite moment was the cold opening when everyone was watching the TV behind Michael to see if the square would go directly into the corner. I laughed so hard at that.

I also love Jim’s fake-out proposal to Pam. Even though it killed me.

  21. Sara Says:

    From the finale:

Michael: Did you see that! Did you see it? Did you see what… wow-wee! Uh, well, Jan didn’t believe in showing affection, so… sometimes I don’t know how to react when a girl touches me. Oh… I like it! [giggles]

  22. Lizie Says:

Soooo many great moments but I think my favorite would have to be all of the amazing Kelly-Ryan-Daryl moments. Mindy Kaling is my faaavorite!

  23. khristian Says:

My favorite moment was Jim and Pam being called out by the production crew, when they showed them the footage of them kissing in the car.

  24. Sarah Says:

Toby asking for a copy of Michael’s diary after laughing hysterically when it was revealed he writes in it about Ryan like he’s another woman in his life.

  25. Kelli Says:

While not my favorite overall episode, I loved the conference room bit in Launch Party. Classic!

Jim Halpert: There’s this cube on the screen which bounces around all day. And sometimes, it looks like it’s going right in the corner of the screen and at the last minute it hits the wall and bounces away. We are all just dying to see it go right into the corner. Pam claims that she saw it one day when she was alone in the conference room. Okay. I believe she thinks she saw it.
Pam: I saw it. I saw it and it was amazing. Who said I didn’t see it? Did Jim say that I didn’t see it? I saw it!

  26. Cindy Says:

Mine was probably one that a lot of people will say along with you: Kelly, all of her, actually. But the best is “Ryan used me as an object.”

    Loved it!

  27. Laura Says:

defiantly when andy sings “take a chance on me” to angela. i went and downloaded the song right away. i love that part! so cleaver!

  28. Brian Says:

Oscar: The real crime, I think, was the beard.

  29. Michelle D Says:

My gosh, there are so many classic moments, its so hard to choose just one.

During the Dinner Party episode, Michael starts bragging about his flat screen TV and shows it to Jim. The TV is approximately like 5 inches by 5 inches. Later on after Michael and Jan fight she chucks one of his Dundie awards at the TV and it shatters the screen. It was was just classic, hysterical and sad all wrapped up into one.

  30. Holli Says:

My favorite was Jan’s singing and dancing along to Hunter’s CD which was so obviously about her. With her Andy Warhol in the background, it’s tops. My 2nd favorite was the running gag in Goodbye Toby where Holly thinks Kevin is “special.”

  31. Holly Says:

In the cafeteria during the deposition, when Toby opens up to Michael and it looks like they’re going to share a special moment…and then Michael slowly and deliberately pushes Toby’s tray off the table.

  32. Jenn Says:

Hands down, when Holly thought Kevin was “special” and he didn’t get it. Sooo hysterical. Hardest I’ve laughed all season.

  33. Courtney Says:

It’s definitely hard to choose but I would have to say almost all of “Money.” Between Dwight telling them their room choices, Mose running beside the car, story time, and Schrute farms being temporarily “Wireless,” I think that episode was easily one of the best of the season.

  34. Rebecca Says:

oh geez. Dwight reading Harry Potter? or his interactions with Ryan’s friend at the nightclub? or, “Then I just want to be friends. Plus a little extra. Also, I love you.”

Or Kelly’s smack talking, or Andy at the golf course, or…

  35. Jennifer Says:

This is easy. My favorite moment of the season was from Dinner Party when Michael says that he’s a screenwriter and Jan goes ‘And I’m a candle-maker but you don’t hear me bragging about it.” I liked that line so much, I made myself a shirt with that quote to wear around the house.

  36. Liz Says:

The best storyline is when Dwight tell Holly that Kevin is mentally challenged. Hands down.

  37. Post-it Thief Says:

    “I fell in the sandtrap!”
    Oh, Andy!

  38. Mindy Says:

I love the scene where Jim fake proposes to Pam by asking her to wait while he ties his shoes but since so many have already picked that scene … here is my 2nd favorite

    “Pam: Hey Toby.
Toby: Hey… [sees both Jim and Pam] you two.
Jim: Hey. So now that we are dating, uh, we just wanted to know if we had to sign one of those ‘we’re dating’ things for the company.
Toby: Oh well, you know, those were only for, you know [makes quotes with fingers] relationships, so… if, if this is just a casual thing, there’s no need, really.
    Jim: Oh.
Pam: Well, I don’t wanna speak for Jim, but, it’s like pretty official. [Jim smiles]
    Toby: Uh huh.
Jim: Sorry, uh do we need to sign one, or…?
Toby: Let’s just wait and see what happens. [whispers] You know?
    Jim: What?
    Toby: Let’s just wait.
    Jim: Oh, OK.
    Pam: OK.
Jim: Great. [Jim and Pam walk away]” (from OfficeQuotes.net)

  39. Erin Says:

My favorite (to second several other people) was when Pam admitted to their relationship - they looked like they were going to still try and deny it, and then she just came out with it - I thought that was so cute and true-to-life!

  40. Kristin Says:

Kelly: I don’t understand what the big deal is?
    Ryan: You don’t.
    Kelly: No.
Ryan: You lied about being pregnant.
    Kelly: Right. So?
Ryan: You really don’t understand why that might make me kinda angry?
    Kelly: No.
Ryan: We’re never getting back together.
    Kelly: Why not?

    CLASSIC Kelly!

  41. Alison Says:

I love when Angela said she would never put one of Dwight’s beets into her mouth. It was such a small moment, and not really the focus of Dinner Party, but it was hilarious!

  42. Arica Says:

My favorite season 4 moment was when Jim professed his love for “Italian Food.” My heart actually skipped a beat when Jim kissed Pam in front of the whole office.

  43. Amanda M. Says:

This is way too hard for me (that’s what she said) with so many good moments to pick from. I thought I had one but every time I see one someone else has posted I think “That one! No, THAT ONE!”

I’m going to go with Holly and Kevin at the vending machine. I was dying laughing through that whole storyline. “This one’s a button.”

  44. Christine Says:

So very many to pick from. As always, Michaels social awkwardness is almost too painful to watch.
When he meets Holly Flax and asks her if she is real or a hollygram?? Then he states that if it were Christmas, people would have to kiss underneath her! Love it!

  45. Elsa Says:

My favorite moment was during Dinner Party, when they were playing the guessing game, and Jim kept messing up on purpose, and how horrible Michael was at the game. I love how it showed Michael and Jim’s characters in just one scene. Michael is always looking for approval, and thus he tries his hardest at every social event, even if it means possibly looking like a complete moron. But it also shows that sometimes, he really does not understand what he is doing, and that we should forgive him for some of the stuff he says and does, because he means well. And it also shows that Jim can and will have a good time no matter where he is and what he is doing. He can make any situation fun, while still staying sweet, because he humors Michael (while making fun of him) instead of criticizing him, which is all Jan does. I just think it’s both a hilarious and honest scene, and it’s very hectic. Each character has to think quickly, and so exactly what’s on their minds comes out, also showing how genius Jim is.

  46. Kerry Says:

I love when Jim and PAm get everyone stuck at the office and Toby puts his hand on Pam’s lap. He then mutters about how he’s moving to Costa Rica and runs out and jumps the fence. CRACKS ME UP every time!!!

  47. Suzy Says:

I love absolutely all of these… its not fair to pick a favorite!

What about Ryan getting arrested and oscar talking ’smack’ about the beard. Don’t think i’ve seen anyone say that one yet…

  48. Clare Says:

Okay sooo hard to choose here… wait, can we play up in The Canada? please? pretty please? I loved this moment:

Jim: Ok, I just have to ask… Now that we’re “public,” um… is the magic gone?
Pam: It’s funny you bring that up, because… yes, it is.
Jim: I knew it. Oh, man. Just like that, huh?
    Pam: I think… I don’t know what it is, but…
    Jim: Be honest.
Pam: I now find you… repulsive.
Jim: That’s honest. Whew. All right, fair enough. It was really fun while it lasted though, wasn’t it?
(Pam’s expression shows she doesn’t agree.)
    Pam: Eh…
    Jim: For me it was.
    Pam: Okay.

  49. Alex Says:

Michael’s present to Toby, the rock with the “suck on this” note. And of course, Michael’s “I’ll kill you” face! haha

  50. Sarah Says:

My favourite moment from Season 4 had to be when Jim whips it out.

Okay, so by it I mean the engagement ring that he bought a week after they started dating.
But it just made me wonder us all wonder when, oh when, the proposal is going to happen. Poor Jim.

And the second best moment would have to be the final scene of the season finale, with Dwight and Angela. It made me feel bad for Andy. Well, almost.

  51. spamtastic Says:

I loved when Jim started acting like Michael in “Survivor Man”, even getting annoyed with Toby. I especially enjoyed Michael and Jim talking at the end of the episode…it really did feel improvised.

  52. Hannah Says:

well the fourth season was a great one and my favorite but i have to say, my favorite moment is by far the greatest moment of the Office. Which was at the end of the final episode, when Philis walked in on Dwight and Angela in the process of an act that was a little naughty. mmmm hmmm.

  53. Gaby Says:

Mose running up the road alongside Jim and Pam’s car to the beet farm. That 5-second clip is second to none.

  54. Cheryl Says:

“And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it.” Cut to Kelly shaking her head. HILARIOUS.

  55. Rachel Says:

    Great list of moments.

There are so many to choose from, but I will have to agree with the moment in “Dunder Mifflin Infinity” when Kelly tells Ryan that she’s pregnant and then it cuts to her shaking her head. Not only a hilarious moment, but quite adorable as well. You know, if you can look past her faking a pregnancy, it’s adorable. “And guess what, buddy. I am keeping it.”

  56. Rachel (again) Says:

How could I have forgotten Hunter’s song? I listen to that song every once in a while. I think it’s safe to say that the song and Kelly’s head shake/”pregnancy” reveal are tied.

  57. Katherine Says:

Oh my goodness! Choose just one moment? It’s been such a fantastic season, though!
I’ve gotta say…when I think season 4, though, since Toby was my favorite is when Toby puts his hand on Pam’s knee, realizes what he did, announce he’s moving to Costa Rica, and jump the fence! I mean, seriously, as soon as he ran outside and actually jumped the fence, I was cracking up so badly!

Oh yeah and also from Job Fair
Michael: I would never say this to her face, but she(Pam) is a wonderful person and a gifted artist.
Oscar: What? Why wouldn’t you say that to her face?!

  58. Tia Says:

Hard to pick just one moment… It doesn’t look like anyone has mentioned this so I’ll say in Fun Run when Andy talks about nipple chaffing. So gross and so funny! Also in Fun Run when Pam says “I didn’t see where it started, I saw where it ended!” And all of Dinner Party.

  59. Kristen Says:

My favorite moment is in Launch Party when Dwight is trying to beat the computer, and Jim and Pam pretend to be the computer and talk to him.

    “Who am I?”
    “You tell me.”
    “Not sure, just became self-aware.”

  60. Natasha Says:

I am in agreement with all the above, but in an effort to honor a moment not mentioned yet, I’m going with Kelly’s line “Were Jim’s parents first cousins who also sucked at Ping Pong?” Cracked me up!

  61. Maureen Says:

haha I would have to say the entirety of “Money” but especially the bits with Mose.

  62. Fallon Says:

Favorite moment has got to be in Fun Run when Jim and Pam are the last in the race and he reaches out to hold her hand :)

  63. Kelsey Says:

The best moment from season four was when Jim and Pam were walking down the sidewalk and he pretended he was going to propose to her, but was actually tying his shoelace.

  64. Allison Says:

My favorite moment is during “The Deposition” as entries from Michael’s diary are read aloud and Toby can’t stop laughing as Ryan is referred to as “just as hot as Jan but in a different way” and everyone wondering who this “Ryan chick” is. Plus, Michael signing his diary entries XOXO was a perfect addition.

  65. Nicole Says:

Jim and Pam getting caught red-handed as being together by the filming crew in the conference room. Classic! :)

  66. Sara Says:

Wow these bring back a lot of great memories. My favorite moment was when Jim and Pam were pulling up to the Beet farm coming up with various names such as the Radish Inn and the Beet’s Motel. Then Mose shows up at the side of the car and chases them up the road. Pam’s reaction was priceless.

  67. Pauline Says:

Michael yelling “I have hemorrhoids” in Survivor Man.

  68. Stephen Says:

My absolute favorite moment is when Holly helps out Kevin at the vending machine. It’s PERFECT!

  69. sorano916 Says:

To be honest, my favorite moment was the cold open from “Local Ad.” I love when it’s an ensemble scene. Plus, Andy not getting the Kit-Kat bar jingle was great.

  70. Michelle Says:

Favorite moment has to be Jim and Pam singing along to Hunter’s song in the car after the dinner party. Classic Jam moment for sure. So cute, so funny!

  71. Tara Says:

Shocked that no one has mentioned this one yet….unless I missed it…but the very last scene of Season 4!!!!! The return of Dwangela!!!! Right there on a desk in the office!!!! Maybe not the funniest, but definitely the best moment of the season for me!

  72. Alyson Says:

There are way too many to choose, as I love pretty much every scene, but my heart sings every time Jim lets us know how much he loves Italian food as a metaphor for Pam, and then kisses her soundly in the middle of the Office.

  73. Liz Says:

My favorite moment had to be when Jim showed the camera crew the engagement ring he had bought a week after starting to date Pam, so cute.

  74. Rebeka Says:

“Hey Pam, will you… wait for me one second while I tie my shoe?”

    Best.Scene.Ever.

  75. Jada Says:

Dwight: Hey Pam, will you… wait for me one second while I tie my shoe?
    — Yes, I agree with you, Rebeka! That one was so good.

    I also liked
    Jim: What are the themes?
Dwight: America, irrigation, and night time.
    Jim: Irrigation! Nice.

  76. Alex Wilson Says:

The most memorable S4 moment for me is probably Jim consoling Dwight in the stairwell, and then–so stirred by his own confession–his surprising both Pam and himself with a kiss upon his return to the office proper.

  77. Janessa Says:

I laughed really hard when in the Dinner Party episode at the end Andy takes a lick of Angela’s ice cream and then she slams it against the side of the car. I’m not usually an Angela/Andy fan, but the look he gives her is so priceless!!

  78. Kim Says:

Kevin’s Kool-Aid Man face. Hands Down.

  79. Colleen Says:

My favorite moment is when Ryan aks if kelly has a question and Kelly answers: “Yeah, I have a lot of questions. One, how dare you?” Kelly cracks me up!

  80. Johanna Says:

Too many favorite moments, but I am going to pick Dwight thinking Ryan’s friend/dealer was a hobbit from “Night Out”! :-)

  81. Deirdre Says:

My favorite moment has to be michael saying “BEST. NIGHT. EVER.” It’s just…perfect. And a bright spot on a painful episode.

That or “WHERE ARE THE TURTLES?!?!?!” I know it’s over the top, but I love it so much.

  82. Pete Says:

All these moments are fantastic, but the hands down best part of the season was when Dwight told Holly that Kevin was slow and he proceeded to act regularly. There’s too many of them to pick out a specific quote, but the interview with Kevin when he says “I’m totally going to bang Holly. She’s cute and helpful and she really seems into me” is fantastic.

  83. Jordan Says:

My favorite season 4 moment is, of course, a Jim and Pam moment - I love the first proposal fakeout when Jim gets on his knee when they’re walking and asks her to wait as he ties his shoe.

  84. Jenna Says:

My absolute favorite moment was Kelly’s “Yeah I have lots of questions. Number One: How dare you.” The delivery of that line and the entire scene is fantastic. I also loved Kevin’s “it’s just nice to win one” heartbreaking talking head. Is it September 25th yet?!?!?!

  85. Emily Says:

    Dinner Party:

The entire scene where Jan and Michael give a tour of their bedroom, but particularly Michael’s bench-bed.

  86. Jake Says:

I’ve got to go with the Survivorman episode. When Michael tapes his sleeves and pant legs back on with duct tape. Also when he shouts “I have HEMOROIDS!”.

  87. Jennifer Says:

Okay, so I’m a total sap and my favorite moment isn’t one of those that is totally hilarious……I love when Jim is consoling Dwight in the stairway talking about why he left Scranton. The way he heads straight for Pam and the talking head following “I really love Italian food (aka Pam).”

  88. Brett Says:

Dinner Party. Easily the most awkward episode ever broadcast. Just what The Office is good at.

  89. Ashley Says:

My favorite moment by far is Andy singing “Take a Chance on Me.” I was already madly in love with Andy, and after seeing that, I was in a constant swoon for an entire week. I’ve never gotten that giddy over anything in my life. It was amazing.

I also really loved the moment in The Deposition when everyone was reading Michael’s diary and they thought that Ryan was another girlfriend and Toby couldn’t contain his giggles. And Michael actually wrote in his diary, “Hehehe.” Oh, Michael, I love you.

  90. Cara Says:

My favorite moment was not a comedic one. It was the Dwight/Jim moment in the stairwell in Money, directly followed by the kiss and the return of Jim-hating Dwight. I loved it all. :)

  91. Mady Says:

My favorite moment was the Charades exchange in Dinner Party. Classic Office.

  92. meriel Says:

oh man… all these moments are awesome… but i don’t think i saw anyone mention the part from “the deposition” where toby is telling michael a story about how he could kind of relate to the situation, and michael without hesitation knocks his food tray off the table… classic michael vs toby moment!!!

  93. Katie Says:

My favorite moment of season 4 was in “Goodbye Toby” when Holly is helping Kevin pick out what he wants to eat out of the vending machine. So funny!

  94. Kristina Says:

I would say something from Dinner Party or the finale but since they’ve been mentioned already, I’ll go with Did I Stutter & Michael leaving his face print in the wet cement & still being able to get a “that’s what she said” moment in.
Also Kevin asking Pam if she can say, “these are due back on Thursday” Classic Kevin!

  95. Sarah Says:

My favorite moment was the conference room scene when Michael and Ryan are discussing whether it is “whoever” or “whomever”. The best part: “Ryan used me as an object”. I know it’s already been mentioned but it’s my favorite moment!

  96. Laura Says:

Though “Jam” is not the main reason I love this show, I have to say, I loved the talking head in “Chair Model” when Jim says “I’m not kidding” - and he pulls out the ring! I squee every time!

  97. Catherine Says:

My favourite moment from season four was simple: the showing of the ad that Michael made in Poor Richards. What a great display of most of the cast!!

  98. Melanie Says:

“I didn’t see where it started, but I saw where it ended.”

the whole scene of Pam walking in on Michael pants-less is great. then she throws in that quote and I died

  99. Jessica Says:

The reveal that Jim and Pam are actually dating was great. Also the fake out proposal was hysterical. I think those are tied for first with me.

  100. Kayla Says:

There were so many, but my favorite had to be Fun Run, simply because we finally knew what happened. My friends and I all started screaming and calling all our other friends at different schools to scream with them too. It was a joyful moment.

  101. Annemarie Says:

Kevin realizing that Pam and Jim together were PB&J. I love the rest of that talking head, but that moment is the best!

  102. Kurt Says:

In the episode Dinner Party, I loved at the end where Jim and Pam are sitting in front of the burger place and Pam is telling Jim “Babe, this is the best burger I ever had babe”. Starting from the point and continuing into Hunter’s song “That one Night” going into the montage of seeing what everyone is doing after the party - I loved it.

  103. Brooke Says:

Best moment in Season 4 for me was Jan running to where Michael was sitting on the train, telling him how he has always been by her side, and proceeding to actually do the same for him. It was an incredibly subtle, sweet moment for them. Before the Dinner Party ruined it all!

  104. lara Says:

There are so many Kelly moments to choose from, but I think one of her best quotes to date is from “Money”:

“Darryl Philbin is the most complicated man that I’ve ever met. I mean, who says exactly what they’re thinking? What kind of game is that?”

  105. Lindsey Says:

Dwight: I think I cut my penis on the lid.

Or really just anything in Branch Wars, easily my favorite episode of the season.

  106. Anna Says:

Hands down, I have to go with Andy’s failed Kit Kat jingle. That was just gold.

A close second would have to be the rerouted phone calls prank, when Pam calls ‘Dwight’ and says “You sound sexy.” and Jim says “I’ve been working out.” haha. Then Dwight’s yelling and Pam says she’s confused. And there’s the priceless Jimface when Dwight tries to take the headset. =)

  107. Sarah Says:

Jim’s “fake” proposal to Pam - my heart dropped just a little. Loved it!

  108. Joe Says:

One of my favorite parts of Dinner party has to be when Michael kept showing off his tiny LCD tv and then freaks out when Jan breaks it!

  109. Joe Says:

One of my favorite parts of Dinner party has to be when Michael kept showing off his tiny LCD tv and then freaks out when Jan breaks it!

  110. buyMEacoke,Jim! Says:

One of my favorite moments happened in the aftermath of Michael and Dwight’s night out with Ryan; the guys are all laying on the bed together, and Michael asks, “Ryan, what color are my eyes?” –and Dwight interjects “Hazel!” before Ryan can answer. The chain of unrequited love and insecurity is a guaranteed laugh!

  111. Heather Says:

Dinner Party was the best ever. I loved when Michael and Jan gave Pam and Jim a tour and Michael revealed that he sleeps on the trunk at the bottom of the bed. Best ever.

  112. jillyree Says:

I guess my favorite scene has to be when Phyllis catches Dwight and Angela in the darkened office after Toby’s going away party. We all know Phyllis is the office gossip, and that Angela is the office prude, so can you imagine the butt kissing that’s gonna go on there in season 5? I cannot WAIT to watch it unfold.

  113. mac Says:

    Favorite moment:

From the Chair Model I believe…
Michael: “Hey, Oscar Meyer, Weiner. Lover.”

  114. Joy Says:

When Jim pulled out the ring and admitted he was going to propose to Pam. “Bought it a week after we started dating.” Could he be anymore perfect?

  115. Amy Says:

This is REALLY hard to choose. I’m ping-ponging between the moment when Jim ties his shoe and Pam thinks he’s going to propose? So incredibly perfect for them. Or when Toby puts his hand on Pam’s knee and then runs off. I thought it was just the right amount of awkward for The Office when I was missing some of that awkward scenarios.

  116. Randi Says:

Aww man, you mentioned mine. When Darryl said The Warriors and Newsies, I almost choked.

Another favorite: When Jim bends down to tie his shoe and Pam thinks he’s going to propose.

I LOVED the scene where Jim pulls out the ring.

Kelly’s smack talking for the ping pong match, love it.

  117. Lindsey Says:

My favorite was the sub-plot of “Goodbye Toby”: Holly and Kevin.

    Holly: “This is a button.”

    So funny!!

  118. Alyssa Schwendener Says:

my all time favorite office moment is during The Injury… actually any moment from that epi, but Dwight trying to drink Meredith’s alcohol tops it.

  119. Alyssa Schwendener Says:

oops! from this season…hmmm, definitely the mose/dwight table tennis match of glory.

  120. Ryan Says:

My favorite moment was the blow up fight between Michael and Jan in Dinner Party. Beer sign, hunter’s song, THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!, dundie into the tiny plasma. Just an orgy of humor in those few minutes.

  121. HealthcareHottie Says:

Jim & Dwight in the stairwell, hands down my favorite and most touching scene of the season. I loved the entire Money episode.

My second favorite is Michael driving his car into the lake and then going back to that guys office to reclaim his gift basket and Dwight yelling, “Hand. Over. The. Turtles.” while Michael rubs his wet clothes on the nice leather couch. I know a lot of people didn’t like those scenes, but I loved them.

  122. Alex Says:

    Gimme a break

    Gimme a break

Break me off a piece of that a-pple sauce

    Chry-sler car

    foot-ball cream

  123. Aubrey Says:

The whole 2 scenes where Jim and Pam talk about his proposal that hasn’t happened yet.
“Jim: And when it happens, it’s going to kick your ass, Beesly. So… stay sharp.
    Pam: I’ve been warned.”

“Jim: I am not kidding. [shows camera an engagement ring] Got it a week after we started dating. ”

All I can say is wow. Can’t wait to see if it will ever happen.

  124. Lisa (aka lmr) Says:

Pam pulls away in her car alone and then pulls to the side of the curb, Jim jumps in and leans over to kiss her… that was it for me.

  125. Susan Says:

My favorite moment in Season 4 is when Pam and Jim went to Dwight’s Beet Farm and he read them Harry Potter.

  126. call_me_ps Says:

My favorite all time moment is when Holly and Michael are sitting back at HR and talking as they fix the chair. Michael DIDN’T CROSS THE LINE!!!! I was cheering as loud as you can get.

And oh, so very sad, when he ended up, yet again, with dysfunctional Jan with perfect-for-him Holly right in front of his eyes (and within his grasp!).

  127. Spicy Curry Says:

    Night Out–the conference room scene:

Michael: I know that a lot of you are very angry at Ryan because he is the reason that we all have to come in tomorrow. However I swear to God, if any of you hurts him in any way, emotionally, or taunts him, or makes fun of his height, or his half beard,–

and then the exchange b/w Ryan and Kelly:

Kelly: If I had created a website with this many problems I’d kill myself.
Ryan: Do you have a question Kelly?
Kelly: Yeah, I have a lot of questions but number one, how dare you.

  128. Jen Says:

Season 4 finale - at the party, when Jim was pulling out the ring out of his pocket… My friend and I clutched at each other, with our breaths held… and Andy crushed our hearts with his interruption, at which point we started screaming and cursing furiously.

  129. Ulrika Says:

This season had so many great, wonderful moments, but I just loved the scene in “Local Ad” where Darryl, Kelly, Creed, Kevin and Andy are singing the “Dunder Mifflin: The People-Person’s Paper People!”-song. Pure genius!

  130. brooke Says:

    ryan’s beard. nuff said.

  131. Katie Says:

My favorite moment of the season (though I might be alone in this) has to come from Michael Scott, and I quote:

    “I…DECLARE…BANKRUPTCY!!”

  132. jen Says:

it’s a toss up between money because mose is absolutely hilarious! or the finale when michael told holly kevin was slow and the way she was talking to him made him think she wanted him! or angela and dwight at the end hooking up. i died laughing!

  133. Abby Says:

I really enjoyed when Jim was standing up to Ryan in “Goodbye, Toby.”

Jim: [on phone, leaving a message] Hey, Ryan, it’s Jim. Look man, I don’t know what’s gotten into you lately, but you know what? I really don’t care, because you’re trying to get rid of me. And I bet you don’t think I care enough about this job to actually fight back, but you’re wrong, because I do, and I will. So you can keep trying to push me out of this place, but guess what? I’m not going anywhere. [hangs up and exhales sharply]

    And the follow-up…

Jim: [into phone] Hey, Ryan, it’s Jim. You know what? Totally disregard that last voicemail, because you obviously have your hands tied. Good luck! [hangs up]

I love those scenes because we’re finally getting Jim-growth again! Lately he was in a funk of love with Pam (not that I’m complaining) but he really needed some individual growth, and proving he was not going to give up just because of some bully (the Temp) was putting pressure on him. Bravo, Jim!

  134. Lindsey Says:

Michael and Dwight dancing and singing in the graveyard in “Chair Model” episode :)

  135. irene Says:

The scene where Michael decides to emulate Meryl Streep after seeing The Devil Wears Prada. My friends and I quote it all the time.

    “Coat!”
    “Steeeak! Where’s my steeeeeak?!”
“Get me Armani. On the phone.”
“Too slow. You’re not going to Paris. I’m so much better than you.”

    Classic.

  136. Poser In A Parka Says:

Even with all the Jammy goodness that was S4, I’m going to have to chose Kelly’s smack talk as the best talking head of the season.

  137. samanthemofthesun Says:

WOW! Where did all THESE folks come from??? Lot’s of people wanting that DVD???? HMMMMM???

MY favorite??? Michael’s goodbye song to Toby….

    “Toby’s goin’ away!”

Now that is just fine singing!

Second, honorable mention - Ryan getting hauled away by the Feds!

  138. Jes Says:

It has to be Holly and Kevin at the vending machine, closely followed by Kelly’s fake pregnancy.

  139. Vanessa A. Balta Cook Says:

Andy: I lost a penny out of my loafers, Oscar.

  140. Chelsea Says:

Not really one specific scene, but I loved it when Dwight tricked Andy into selling his truck. Seller beware…

  141. Shayna Says:

My morbid sense of humor forces me to love the scene where Dwight is explaining how he killed Sprinkles to Angela.

  142. Zoe Says:

In “Night Out”, Dwight’s activity at the night club. Go Dwight!

  143. Kari Says:

My favorite moment is when Jim shows the ring he bought Pam to the camera and told us he bought right after they started dating! Jim is so cute!!

  144. Amanda Says:

So very many, but the one that makes me laugh every time i think about it:

“Yeah, I have a question. First of all, how dare you.” I love me some Kelly :)

  145. Shannon Says:

There are so many great moments of season 4. If I had to choose one moment that made me scream like a little girl the most would be one Fun Run when we finally found out the truth about Jim and Pam. I wasn’t sure it was going to happen and it was great suprise. Although the entire episde of Toby Leaving, I screamed quite a few times as well. There are so many great little moments that are listed that are some of my favorites as well. Finding out the Jim and Pam are finally together is probably my favorite.

  146. Ashley Sumners Says:

Jim opening up that engagement ring box. Squee!

  147. Riley Says:

Michael and Dwight singing American Pie on the chair model’s grave. XD

  148. Susy Says:

The best moment is when Pam forgets her contacts and has to wear her back up glasses! She is a fellow four eyes and we will gladly accep her in our bunch…

  149. Hilary Says:

Mkay, since you took all of my favorite Kelly scenes from the season…

The very end of season 4, the finale, when Phyllis walks in on Dwight and Angela doing it. On Angel’as desk. In the office.

Like all our jaws didn’t drop. I mean, she just got engaged (puh) to Andy. Our Dwangela reunion. And finally someone had sex in that Office.

  150. Jade Says:

    Dinner Party:

    Jan: You’re hardly my first
Michael: *more passionately than ever* THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!

It’s one of my favorite TWSS’s ever and just really put it all over the top for me that ep.

  151. Simon Says:

The first thing that pops into my head when I think of Season Four is in the first episode (Fun Run), when Michael runs over Meredith and decides that he saved her life by making her go to the hospital where she gets a rabies shot…

and if that wasn’t enough, Michael organizes a run, in support of finding a cure for rabies, which I believe already has a treatment.

    Just the perfect Michael moment.

I’ll even throw in my favorite line:

“You run over one person with your car…and it’s not even one of the popular ones…and everybody gets on your case!”
    -Michael

  152. Caroline Says:

Best moment: Ryan getting arrested. All the way.

  153. Lud Says:

    The episode: Goodbye, Toby

The scene: Michael talking to Holly, who’s on the floor, working on her chair.

The reaction: Us; me, you, the entire audience, when we all said to ourselves, in unison, “OMG!!! She’s his soulmate!”

Yeah, don’t deny it. You know you did…

  154. Courtney Says:

My favorite moment? “Pam, will you…wait for me while I tie my shoe?” The BEST!

  155. Courtney Says:

Ok, don’t count me twice or disqualify me, but I have another: When Toby’s finger strokes Pam’s knee when they’re locked in the parking lot and there’s the awkward silence. That’s great.

  156. Jack Says:

At the dinner party, when Michael says something like, you have no idea what three vasectomies does to a person.

  157. Leslie Wagner Says:

“I’m totally going to bang Holly” Holy crap, did I laugh over that Kevin line!

  158. Em Says:

Such a tough call but going with my first favorite moment of Jim getting into the car with Pam. Many, many other favorites though…

  159. Jonathan Says:

My favorite moment BY FAR is Andy’s rendition of “Take a Chance on Me”. I loved his performance so much that I made an audio track of it and listen to it on my iPod all the time.

  160. Nicole Says:

That’s easy! Jim and Pam’s visit to Dwight’s beet farm.

  161. Leslie Says:

Darryl (to Kelly): “You need to access your uncrazy side.”

Kelly (talking head): “Darryl Philbin is t
