Agreed Dawny! I’m not a big basketball fan but you can’t help but get caught up in the hometown excitement. The parade will be great!

Yes!!!! I love that they not only were pounding away on the Lakers, but they played with heart and enthusiam all the way to the end. Way to go Celtics!!!!

As a disillusioned Milwaukee Bucks fan, i’m happy for Ray Allen.

Getting kinda of tired of Boston dominating every sport though. 🙂

i think i was one of the like 10 people in southern california not rooting for the lakers. im not a boston fan, just an anti-laker fan. that being said, im really happy for ray allen, kg, and paul pierce to finally win a championship (moreso kg). its about dang time.
and congrats to all the true boston celtics fans…you know the ones that stuck with them even when they sucked (like last season).

aly, I don’t think you’re alone in SoCal at all. I’ve heard a lot of natives talking about how sick they are of the Lakers, and it’s been a big sentiment for years, apparently. I think most Lakers fans are considered pretty fair-weather and flighty.

Ryan, did you SEE the last superbowl? lol!

My boyfriend was born and half-raised in Boston, so he’s happy even though he doesn’t follow the sport at all. Go Celtics!

Yeah for number 17! When number 16 was raised to the rafters I was there. Gave up my season tix when they tore down the old garden but sure wish I could have been there last night.

For 10 points (that’s all I have to give) – what did Larry Bird stare up at during the playing of the National Anthem before each game?
