What to Watch…Thursday, December 4, 2008

December 4, 2008 by

It’s Thursday?  Already?  Wow, this week just flew right by.  Good thing for me because I love me some Thursday night TV.  Even with GREY’S ANATOMY leaning on the suckitude, I still have a full night of TV ahead.  As always, I can’t wait to see THE OFFICE – YAY!!  And don’t be jealous, but I’ve already seen tonight’s episode of 30 ROCK and it’s funny stuff.  Two words for you: Donatella Moss.  Again…YAY!

Here’s a sampling of your TV options tonight.

Ugly Betty | 8pm on ABC
Amanda and Betty team up for an assignment and have a night on the town they’ll never forget. [GMMR: Guys I am thisclose to giving up on BETTY.  Convince me not to.  Remind me how funny it can be.  Remind me that it’s not the same storyline over and over and over again.  I triple dog dare you.]

My Name is Earl | 8pm on NBC
Earl reminisces about finding his old friend, Raynard (Ewen Bremner), living in the wild with a raccoon. [GMMR: This show is still on?  Ok, please raise your hand and tell the class why are like My Name is Earl.  Don’t be shy.]

Survivor | 8pm on CBS
Survivor: MicronesiaAllies are pitted against each other; a contestant makes a lifetime commitment. [GMMR: Back in the day there were a lot of GMMR readers who were really into Survivor.  Lately there hasn’t been much of a discussion.  Are you not watching or do you just not care?]

Kath & Kim | 8:30pm on NBC
Kath and Kim, NBCThe stress of planning a wedding gives Kath insomnia, so she agrees to see a spiritual adviser (Maya Rudolph) for help in coping. [GMMR: I love Maya Rudolph.  Maybe I’ll watch.  Probably not.  But maybe.]

The Office | 9pm on NBC
Oscar informs Michael that the office must spend a cash surplus or lose it in the next year’s budget; Dwight takes Angela and Andy to Schrute Farms to work on their wedding plans. [GMMR: Looks like we are in for some good Dwangelandy (TM) fun tonight.]

30 Rock | 9:30pm on NBC
What to watch: 30 ROCKJack convinces Liz that she should go to her high school reunion; Don Geiss (Rip Torn) wakes up from his coma and shocks Jack with a declaration about who will be the company’s CEO. [GMMR: See the aforementioned ; “Donna Moss- YAY!!”]

Grey’s Anatomy | 9pm on ABC
Cristina is awarded the first solo surgery among the residents, but she is forced to give it up and choose her replacement; Lexie is impressed when Mark performs a cutting-edge procedure; Callie doesn’t know if Sadie is friendly or flirtatious. [GMMR: Necrophillia rules!!]

CSI | 9pm on CBS
CSI what to watchA popular young singer is found dead outside an infamous Las Vegas nightclub, leading the CSI team to uncover a link between that crime and a murder 50 years earlier. [GMMR: Is this CSI or COLD CASE?  And can anyone tell the difference?]

Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2008
Walters interviews actors Will Smith, Tom Cruise and Tina Fey, political commentator Rush Limbaugh, singer Miley Cyrus, Olympic gold-medalist Michael Phelps. Wait, isn’t Tom Cruise on the list every year?  Oh and Barbara, don’t think we can’t see through your bullsh$%…Tom Cruise and Will Smith both have movies coming out soon.  Whatevs…]

Ugly Betty’s on my endangered list too – I’m two episodes behind right now and I never would have let that happen last year.

Barbara Walters makes my head hurt, much like it does when I watch Larry King. She just drives me nuts and her list is ridiculous. I’ll dvr it and watch just Tina Fey and Barack Obama (and probably fast forward through Babs talking).

I haven’t watched Survivor in years – I think it’s because it’s Thursday night – I’m too busy watching other stuff. They should move Survivor to Sunday or Tuesday!

I’ll be watching Kath & Kim (for Maya), THE OFFICE, 30 Rock and Greys. I’ve given up on Ugly Betty – but I may watch the first half tonight until Kath & Kim.

And I wont be watching Barbara Walters..although I loved her on Oprah – great interview.

i gave up on Betty…….ill watch maybe in re-runs but can’t be bothered…

i adore Survivor and allways have, cant get enuff of Jeff P, they have had some off seasons but it is what it is and allways been…

i used to tape Earl and watch my Survivor but stopped doing that this year, Earl isn’t the same, too sitcomy now…

Kath and Kim is the worst…..simply garbage!

The Office and 30 Rock im watching for sure, Greys i can take or leave, plus i can get a play by play update online so why bother taping it…….

    Ah Thursdays….

I only watch Office and 30 Rock. I watched the original few eps of Earl, and a few of last year’s prison episodes (which I actually enjoyed more than “regular” episodes), but I feel no pull to see more episodes. It used to get better episodes than the Office, but is that still true?

Hey GMMR! You are a little negative with these shows. I hope all is well with you.

[GMMR: Is this CSI or COLD CASE? And can anyone tell the difference?]

That is the funniest thing to me because just last week, my mom asked if a show was Cold Case or Without A Trace. I told her that Without A Trace had alive people, CSI had dead people and Cold Case had people who had been dead for a few years. I guess I’m not the only one who can’t really tell a difference anymore.
