Can I get an AMEN?! A little louder please…AMEN!!! The ultimate Monday is here. The return of CHUCK. HEROES is back. The season premiere of MEDIUM. New episodes of other Monday night faves. It’s all good. Well, not all good. There are still too many shows on at the same time tonight. Something’s got to give. I’ve lucked out this week because I’ve already seen tomorrow’s CHUCK and HOUSE so that’s two less I have to deal with. Next Monday…I’m screwed.
Oh and I’ve decided that I’m going to DVR HEROES and see if this chapter is any better? I should know better by now, but I’m a sucker for punishment. My expectations are low HEROES – you don’t have to do much.

Was someone giving away the 3D glasses specifically for Chuck?? I ask because I kept seeing the NBC commercial for it, but never any indication of where I could get a pair of glasses! I remember a few years ago when Medium did a 3D episode they were giving away free specs with one of the newspapers, but this time I had no idea! So this episode of Chuck will be 3D-less for me. Oh well. I will be taping it (so I can watch House at the same time … who dreamed up that conflict?) – so if I am able to find a pair of glasses in the future I, too, can experience the 3Dness.
To the Canadian contingent: I’ve been trying to figure out the Chuck situation here – I even went to Wal-Mart and a couple of 7-11’s to see if glasses were available but no luck. I’ve since read that the promotion didn’t happen here. My question is this: Is Chuck airing in 3-D despite us not getting the glasses, or is it airing in non-3-D mode? I’m just worried that the show will look distorted without the glasses. Anyone have any idea?
Seriously, this was the WORST promotional campaign I have ever seen. It was as if you have to track down where to get the glasses. Because they sure as hell don’t offer up the info! I found an 800 number to call about it today for Pepsi, and they said that they would not be able to send it out in time for tonight’s episode. That’s when I began my tangent about the wonderful world of DVR, she quickly rescinded the previous statement and explained that she had no way to order them, but to check my local retailers. Vague much? So I will not watch Chuck tonight, and I will hold it on my DVR until I find these Damn glasses. But I tell you this stupid marketing company, I WILL NOT buy whatever product I find advertised on the glasses……OK Rant over.
If you are still in search of 3-D glasses for tonight’s Chuck, Target has them at most of their locations. I noticed that some regions did not have a major supermarket chain represented, so bigger retailers like Target or CVS Pharmacy might be your best bet.
In Canada you can watch the 3D Chuck if you watch the show on a true NBC feed. If you watch it on CityTV in Ontario, for example, it will just be the regular show. I have HD NBC feeds from several US cities but still can’t find glasses in my part of the country. I guess I have to assume the promo department just didn’t bother sending any across the border.
Ok, so glad to know I’m not the only clueless Canuck in the bunch! I had no idea that our station (City TV for us) wouldn’t be running the 3D version .. that sucks! They do over-ride the actual NBC airing, so I guess that’s what I’ll see. I know at one point CityTV was running it on a different day, but I’m sure it’s back to Mondays, along with NBC. So I guess not having a set of glasses isn’t going to hurt me! GMMR – any idea if the DVD version will be 3D? And perhaps come with a pair of nifty but oh so hard to find glasses? That would be great, since I do want to see it 3D (the commercial made it seem so cool!)
I live in canada and we didnt get any 3D glasses for chuck so with that being said I just think that NBC could have oh i dont know sent us CANADIANS some free 3d glasses…..I get the channel NBC from america so its in 3D I have it on tape and I just want some glasses please. If anyone can help this canadian girl that needs some chuck 3d glasses it would be so cool. So please email me if u have some 3d glasses u dont want or if u have some spares. Thank u.
