Who Went Home on AMERICAN IDOL?

March 26, 2009 by

If you’re looking to find out who got kicked off on tonight’s episode of AMERICAN IDOL, check it out here: Who Went Home on AMERICAN IDOL (April 22, 2009)

PREVIOUS POST

I’m babysitting tonight and don’t have access to the Internet. Forgive me for the short post but I’m updating from my phone.

Imagine my surprise when I turned on IDOL at 8:30pm and saw my boy Matt Giraud standing next to Michael Sarver in the bottom two. What?! And it only got worse when Scott was asked to join Matt and Michael in the bottom three but then quickly sent back into the safety zone.

We’ve got 15 minutes left and I’m kind of freaking out here. I can’t deal with Matt leaving this early.

I’ll be back with the update once the final name is revealed.

UPDATE: Whew. Matt escaped that one. It’s Michael Sarver who is going home tonight.

What did you think about Michael going home? And what about Matt and Scott in the bottom three with him? IDOL is nothing if not surprising this season.

Sam-do you know how to read?

Matt is not my favorite but he should not have been in the bottom this week. He did really well last night. Did people not vote for him because they thought he was safe or bc they don’t like him? It was Michael’s time to go.

I gave up trying to figure them out after they sent Alexis Grace home so soon. She should have definitely made it to the last five or six…..the judges were shocked as well.

I just can’t believe that Scott is still there. I don’t care if he’s blind and obviously talented at least on the piano, he is has zero star quality! To quote Nancy Kerrigan, “Why? Why! Why?!?”

Agreed Scott should be gone. He is an excellent pianist but his vocals are lacking. Sympathy points shouldnt count.

I cannot stand Scott McIntyre. He can sing for Broadway plays but thats it. He is so annoying and i agree with Paula that he uses that piano as a crutch. I can’t believe Matt was in the bottom 3 omg! Michael going home…its not a suprise at all he gets lamer every week so. There we go. Next week its got to be Scott or Meghan. We’ll see

I totally love Matt as well, so I was really disappointed to see him in the bottom 3, along with Scott. I am glad Michael went home, he is just not nearly as good as some of the others! Megan should have been in the bottom as well. She is a one trick pony, and copies Amy Winehouse a bit too much.

  8. Alexis on March 27th, 2009 1:50 am

oh yeah, I do agree about Alexis! She should have stayed a lot longer!!!

Right guy went home, now we need Megan to go. Is she the vote for the worst person is this why we have to hear her every week? Scott will not be there much longer either, nice guy but he’s not a pop star.

i figured the bottom three was going to be Michael, Scott, and Megan.. .. as soon as i saw no megan.. i knew Michael was going home.
I cant believe Matt was in the bottom three.
The Judges were thinking about saving Michael.. but then no.. i knew they wouldnt .. simon said the night before that michael wasnt going to win it.. i think if matt was going to be packing his bags. they would have saved him.
i have to say though. michael did a lot better job singing that song last night than on wednesday.. its just a little too late.. 😐
but HEY.. at least his daughter gets to see him.

Lisa, Megan IS the Vote For the Worst person. Do that many people really vote that way? I can’t imagine it.

Amy – Sanjaya was the vote for the worst person last go around. That held onto him for way longer than was reasonable. I forget at what point he finally left but I think they have enough to hold onto her until the number of singers is down where the votes consolidate and overcome their numbers.

OK. I listened to the previews of the songs on iTunes (not ready for a full commitment yet) and I must say that Kris sounded fantastic. Adam singing “Satisfaction” was far better than I remembered, and Alison blows all the girls away—just my opinion. I’m still shocked Matt was in the bottom two. Love that piano and soulful singing.

at this point Megan Corkrey keeps advancing either because she’s extremely cute, or because votefortheworst.com is making it happen
