THE OFFICE: Casual Friday

Confession time. I was feelings a bit “under the weather” during THE OFFICE last night so I can’t in good faith say that I fully digested the episode.I certainly didn’t give it the attention it deserves. I do remember it being very funny though. Loved the cold opening with Kevin and of course Kelly’s sassy casual Friday get up. But as an OFFICE fanatic I have failed. I must go home tonight and immediately watch it again so I can come back to you with a proper review. Anything less would be as shameful as Meredith’s boob hanging out.

I really enjoyed this episode… and if anyone has a problem with that, you can talk to my complaint department…
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed more at an Office episode than I did when Michael fake-fired Pam … for the second time. What a callback to the pilot! I honestly thought Michael was going to fire her, and when he couldn’t hold back the laugh all the tension went out of me and I laughed SO HARD.
I totally knew that Meredith’s boob was going to come out. But I laughed, anyway. Also, casual = no panties? Classic Meredith.
The Office is riding a wave of outstanding writing and invigorating performances this year. Steve Carell has never been better, and the entire MSPC storyline has been a gift, offering the Dunder Mifflin crew the chance to hit the “reset” button. I cannot remember the last time my favorite show didn’t make me laugh hysterically, and that is a wonderful gift. It’s a shame that this season has to end!
