Fox Returns to the DOLLHOUSE for Season 2

Fox won’t be announcing their Fall schedule until Monday’s Upfronts in NYC but sources tell THR.com that DOLLHOUSE is a go for Season 2.
The ratings challenged show had a rollercoaster season. Expectations were high but for me, only a few of the 13 episodes truly delivered. That being said, I have faith that S2 will be stronger than this past season. Joss Whedon and crew will have the time to plot, plan and develop the show that they want. This season started off on shaky ground and I don’t think anyone involved thought things went exactly as planned. But having some security for another season may be just what the creative team needs to find the right balance.
Regular readers of GMMR might be surprised to find out that I’m actually really excited about the prospect of a second season. I have high hopes that the kinks will be worked out and the problems they had this year will be ironed out. Maybe DOLLHOUSE will become another Joss Whedon classic and we’ll be looking back at Season 1 and laugh.
I’m pulling for the show. I know it may not seem like it, but I am.

Good news! Although Dollhouse was slow to grow on me, too, by the end I was hooked and hoping for a second season. I’m guessing Mellie/November (Miracle Laurie) is out of the picture, though? That’s a shame, since she was one of my favourite dolls.
