Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, March 16, 2010

March 16, 2010 by

Remember just a few months ago when Tuesday was a rather nothing night of TV? Yeah…not so much these days. My DVR is set and I’m going to rest up today in preparation for tonight. I’m a little down on IDOL after last week’s eliminations.  Hopefully a few people will step it up tonight.

As for LOST, I’ll try to get my mind ready for that hot mess. Overwhelmed just thinking about it.

This weekend I caught the second episode of PARENTHOOD and I have to say that I liked it even more than the first.  Are you watching it? Loving it?

Tonight FX premieres it’s newest show, JUSTIFIED. I’m hearing fantastic things about it and even with my busy TV night, I’m excited to give it a look.

What YOU are most excited to watch tonight?

American Idol | 8pm on Fox
“Top 12”
The 12 finalists perform songs by the Rolling Stones. [GMMR: This should be interesting. There are a few contestants that probably didn’t know a single song by the Stones before this week. I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure if I can sit through Aaron Kelly taking on Mick Jagger.]

The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
“Cook-Off”
The players compete in a 30-minute cook-off, which requires them to prepare an appetizer, entrée and dessert using only 12 ingredients. Judges Curtis Stone and Ali pick the best-tasting entries and name the winners, who receive a weigh-in advantage.

“Jurisdiction”
The team investigates the murder of a Navy diver, and they work with their Coast Guard equivalent (CGIS), with whom they find some striking similarities. Agent Abigail Borin: Diane Neal

Melrose Place | 9pm on The CW
“Stoner Canyon”
A new tenant (Nick Zano) moves into Auggie’s old apartment, and before long he butts heads with Lauren, who later learns he’s also the hospital’s newest resident. Meanwhile, David gets some life-changing news; and Riley asks Ben for a job, which infuriates Amanda.

NCIS: Los Angeles | 9pm on CBS
“Blood Brothers”
The team investigates the death of a Marine in a drive-by shooting, and they believe that the victim’s brother may be the next target.

Lost | 9pm on ABC
“Recon”
The Locke Monster sends Sawyer on a mission. Charlotte: Rebecca Mader. Widmore: Alan Dale. Liam Pace: Neil Hopkins. Zoe: Sheila Kelley. Ava: Jodi Lynn O’Keefe.

Parenthood | 10pm on NBC
“The Deep End of the Pool”

Peter and Kristina consider Max’s educational options after he’s kicked out of school. Elsewhere, Sarah decides to split up with Jim and later has car problems; Crosby has a good time with Jabbar; and Julia worries about missing moments in Sydney’s life.

Justified | 10pm on FX
“Fire in the Hole”
Maverick U.S marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) enforces the law his way in his Kentucky hometown, where he’s exiled in the opener after killing a gun thug under questionable circumstances in Miami. “It was justified,” Raylan insists. Raylan’s first order of business:a white-supremacist (Walton Goggins) with whom he once mined coal who’s suspected of robbing banks and blowing up a black church.. [GMMR: Just set my DVR, don’t forget to set yours.]

Watching Biggest Loser since it’s Text-me-Tuesday with a friend. Recording Good Wife and Parenthood so I can watch 16&Pregnant live for my Twitter date. Tuesday is very technological for me. 😛

I enjoyed Parenthood’s ep last week waaaaay more than the pilot. So I’m excited for tonight’s ep.

I’m looking forward to Justified tonight… everything I’ve seen about it has been positive. I’ll probably watch Lost too, but I’m not captivated this season.

Is it just me, or is Jillian ho-ing out more for sponsored plugs more than ever? It used to only Bob would do those over-rehearsed spontaneous bits telling two of the fatties how great a product is.
