I have a confession to make — I’m such a TV nerd, I made a spreadsheet to keep all of my shows straight! Especially on a night like Thursday that has so many quality shows, I have to know what to watch live and what to DVR! I can’t be the only one who does this, right?

The Big Bang Theory | 8pm on CBS
“The Wiggly Finger Catalyst”
Penny introduces Raj to a woman he can communicate with. Katie LeClerc (“Switched at Birth”) guest stars as Emily, Raj’s new girlfriend.

The X-Factor | 8pm on Fox
“Boot Camp #2”
“Boot Camp” continues as judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger narrow down their search for the next global superstar or breakout music group. Find out who will make it through “Boot Camp” and earn a place in one of the four categories: young guys, young girls, older singers and groups.

Charlie’s Angels | 8pm on ABC
“Bon Voyage, Angels”
When an investigative journalist goes missing from a cruise ship, the Angels take the case, which is tied to more details about Kate’s past. This time, the Angels have to infiltrate what they think is a floating, high-stakes poker game in order to track down the woman who compromised Kate’s career.

Community | 8pm on NBC
“Remedial Chaos Theory”
When Troy and Abed decide to share an apartment, they host a party for the group, which takes on an altered reality as several scenarios play out.

The Vampire Diaries | 8pm on The CW
“Disturbing Behavior”
Still in Chicago, Klaus uses Gloria, a witch he knew long ago, to help him track down missing information that will explain why his plan isn’t working. Gloria’s spells reveal intriguing glimpses of the truth, but she soon realizes she needs Stefan’s knowledge to complete the puzzle. When Stefan suddenly finds himself in danger, help comes from a surprising ally. Back in Mystic Falls, a frustrating new enemy pushes Damon over the brink and he lashes out in a way that will have lasting consequences. Caroline struggles with her own emotional issues, even as she tries to help Elena face her feelings. Bert tries to teach Andrew how to have a meaningless fling, but Andrew struggles with not getting attached. Meanwhile, Mike and Janet seek help from Diane to prepare them for Mike’s green card interview.

“Heather”
Cassie looks up an old friend of her mother’s named Heather Barnes and discovers she has been in a catatonic state since the night of the fire 16 years ago. Feeling guilty that her mother and her Circle may have had something to do with Heather’s current state, Cassie tells Diana that she wants to use magic to help Heather. Diana refuses to help, but Faye is more than happy to conjure up a spell — for a price.

Whitney | 9:30pm on NBC
“Silent Treatment”
After Whitney catches Alex checking out a hot girl she begs for him to admit to his wandering eye, but much to Mark’s delight Alex won’t fess up. Whitney decides that the best punishment for her boyfriend is the silent treatment. However, she soon realizes that Alex is enjoying his sentence and she begins to plot a new misery making tactic. Meanwhile, Roxanne, in hopes of making her ex-husband jealous, teams up with Lily and Neal to throw a fake party so that she can take sexy photos to post via social media.

Prime Suspect | 10pm on NBC
“Great Guy, Yet: Dead”
When a good-looking stockbroker is killed mysteriously, Jane automatically suspects his wife. Meanwhile, Jane enlists the help of a hypnotist to fight her addiction to smoking. Elsewhere, Matt is furious when his ex-wife suggests Jane shouldn’t attend their son’s birthday party.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia | 10pm on FX
“Sweet Dee Gets Audited”
While Dee tries to weasel her way out of an IRS audit, the guys set up a new (and, they say, democratic) way of running Paddy’s.

The Mentalist | 10pm on CBS
“Pretty Red Balloon”
When the son of a former client from Jane’s days as a psychic is kidnapped, Jane and the CBI team are asked to help find him. Meanwhile, Jane butts heads with his former client’s new “spiritual advisor.”

Private Practice | 10pm on ABC
“Breaking the Rules”
The Oceanside Wellness doctors interview potential replacements for Naomi, including Jake Reilly, and no one understands Addison’s resistance to hiring him; Cooper breaks the law and crosses his wife, Charlotte, in an effort to get cord blood for a young, sick patient; and Pete directs his post-heart attack frustrations towards Violet.

    LOL at the spreadsheet! Good times. I have a (sort of) similar story in that I just moved to a new apartment, and when the cable guy came in to do the installation, he had a strange look on his face. “Why yes, cable man, I DO live alone in a 800 square foot apartment, and yes I DO have three TVs and two DVRs!” is what I wanted to say to him, haha 🙂

    Hey, we love TV, and we’ve got to figure out how to make it work, right? Speaking of make it work, Project Runway is on my usual Thursday night (okay, okay, sometimes Friday morning) watch, and in all honesty, Person of Interest has become my favorite new show of the season. I LOVE it. I’m also really liking Prime Suspect, so I’ll be tuning in to that as well.

    I’m currently Netflix-ing my way through Seasons two & three of Parks and Recreation, so I’m saving these new episodes on my DVR to watch when I’m all caught up.
