MLB World Series Game 6 Pushed Back to Thursday

Comments Off on MLB World Series Game 6 Pushed Back to Thursday

Due to weather conditions, the sixth game of the World Series has been pushed back from tonight to Thursday, October 27.

While that doesn’t preempt any new regularly scheduled Fox television programs (two BONES reruns were supposed to air in that Thursday time period if the World Series was over), if the St. Louis Cardinals are able to win Thursday’s game, it will likely mean problems for the network’s Friday lineup. (AKA, odds are very good if the series is pushed to a game 7, FRINGE will be pushed back a week.)

Be honest, FRINGE fans…how many of you are suddenly cheering for the Texas Rangers to win tomorrow in order to have FRINGE back when it was scheduled to?

Comments Off on HOMELAND Renewed for Season 2

Good news for fans of quality entertainment — Showtime has officially renewed HOMELAND for a second season.

“HOMELAND is just getting started,” said David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc, in a statement. “Clearly, the overall audience growth from week one to week four demonstrates that this show is hitting a nerve in the cultural zeitgeist.  Alex and Howard have created a psychological thriller that holds special relevance in the post 9/11 world.  I’m quite confident that its passionate audience will be riveted as the season unfolds and people discover where this story is going.”

Season 2 begins production in spring 2012.

When PSYCH’s James Roday (Shawn) was promoting last year’s ode to TWIN PEAKS, he told Give Me My Remote that if the show did a vampire-themed hour, it might have some BUFFY throwbacks.

Sure enough, Roday is a man of his word: this week’s vampire episode features original BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Kristy Swanson.

What, that combination isn’t enough to make you tune in? Check out some previews from the hilarious episode…

Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Wednesday, October 26, 2011

When did Wednesday become such a quality night for shows? I have to admit, though, I’m a little disappointed MODERN FAMILY isn’t airing a Halloween episode because last season’s was amazing! However, other shows like THE MIDDLE, HAPPY ENDINGS, and the always creepy AMERICAN HORROR STORY will be airing their holiday-themed episodes. Plus, my new fall favorite REVENGE is on.

Much more so read on and let me know what you’ll be watching!

The Middle | 8pm on ABC
“Halloween II”
After being embarrassed over wearing a childish costume at a high school Halloween costume party and being ignored by the guys, Sue asks a flabbergasted Mike for his advice on what boys want when it comes to girls. Meanwhile, Frankie reluctantly volunteers to take Brick’s socially awkward school social skills group trick-or-treating, and Axl and his friends devise a plan to trick rather than treat the neighborhood kids on Halloween.

Suburgatory | 8:30pm on ABC
“Halloween”
Tessa channels her inner “suburban girl” for a Halloween costume, but it ends up spooking her friends and everyone at school since she reminds them of a recently “departed” resident of Chatswin. And George is determined to prove to Halloween-hater Dallas that being scared can be fun, but gets a scare of his own when Steven Royce, Dallas’ husband, finally comes home from one of his many business trips.

SO MUCH MORE…

America’s Next Top Model: All-Stars | 9pm on The CW
“Kathy Griffin”
The women are asked to create a signature fragrance and launch the scent at a public event while posing in a bathtub. At a photo shoot where the models pose as reality stars, the tension is high and the all-stars begin to get on each other’s nerves. Andre Leon Tally and Nigel Barker join guest judge comedienne Kathy Griffin and Tyra Banks on the judges’ panel for the elimination.

Happy Endings | 9:30pm on ABC
“Spooky Endings”
Jane and Brad spend a scary Halloween house sitting for friends in the suburbs, while the rest of the gang heads to a warehouse party, where their respective costumes don’t quite have the effect they anticipated, especially for Alex and Dave.

Revenge | 10pm on ABC
“Intrigue”
The Grayson 4th of July parties are legendary, but this year’s festivities ignite the wrong kind of fireworks when an incriminating surveillance video pops up and breaks the bond of trust between the Graysons and their head of security, Frank. Frank won’t go down without a fight, which will spell trouble for Nolan and Emily. Meanwhile, the tension between Emily and Tyler will come to a head, Daniel can’t seem to catch a break, and both of the Porter boys make bold moves to get their girl.

Psych | 10pm on USA
“This Episode Sucks”
Shawn and Gus suspect that Lassiter’s mysterious new girlfriend could be responsible for a murder in which the victim’s blood was drained.

American Horror Story | 10pm on FX
“Halloween, Part 1”
It’s Halloween, and the line between the living and the dead blurs at the mansion, where two previous residents give the Harmons decorating advice.

Top Chef: Just Desserts | 10pm on Bravo | Season Finale
“Dessert in Disguise”
In the Season 2 finale, the final contestants battle it out in a grand treat heat inspired by a distinguished pastry competition—the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. The drama culminates with the selection of the winning chef.

Also playing…

  • Survivor | 8pm on CBS | “Trojan Horse”

Comments Off on BONES Halloween Promo 2011

Ewwwwwww.

If you’re a fan of BONES, you know it’s quite possibly the grossest show on television — and if you have any doubts, wait until you see what they have in store for you this season — but their new Halloween promo takes things to a whole other level.

Fox compiled some of the grossest moments from the series into a two-and-a-half minute video which is sure to make even the strongest stomach turn a little. But if you can deal with the icky, BONES stars Michaela Conlin (Angela), TJ Thyne (Hodgins), Tamara Taylor (Cam), Michael Grant Terry (Wendell) and executive producers Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan have some holiday wishes for you…
