Comments Off on RAISING HOPE: 6 Teases for ‘Modern Wedding’

RAISING HOPE’s Jimmy and Sabrina’s courtship has never been totally traditional, so it only makes sense they’re getting married less than a year after they officially became a couple.

Their adorable wedding episode kicks off a full hour of RAISING HOPE tonight, and after watching it, there are a few things I can tease about the nuptials…

BONES Recap: ‘The Twist in the Plot’

January 29, 2013 by

Hello BONES fans! I liked this episode, “The Twist in the Plot.” How about you? While the surroundings of the murder investigation were a little kooky, the suspects and plot never turned to cartoon characters or hijinks, which created a nice balance, and also allowed for some good character work, especially for Booth and Brennan. AND it’s nice when the case organically inspires B&B BOTH to think about their personal lives — versus one of them learning a lesson, you know? The good eps have the right balance between case/B&B personal lives, and I think this one had that balance. There’s a lot to discuss, so let’s get to it!

THE FOLLOWING: Shawn Ashmore and Annie Parisse on Being Drawn to the Series and Getting Gradual Character Development

Comments Off on THE FOLLOWING: Shawn Ashmore and Annie Parisse on Being Drawn to the Series and Getting Gradual Character Development

For those already under THE FOLLOWING’s spell, there’s no doubt the show is something special. And for it to truly work, it had to attract just the right group of actors.

“I was actively looking to do a television show, so…I was reading up on the pilots, auditioning for a bunch of things, and this was just my favorite show this year,” Shawn Ashmore (Mike) said. “I read it and I was like, this is something I would love to be a part of — this is something I would watch. Kevin Williamson wrote an amazing script that drew me in, and Kevin Bacon (Ryan) and James Purefoy (Joe) were also already cast, so I was like, this thing already has a great pedigree. I love them as actors, I can see where they’re going, and obviously the show really depends on the relationship between these two. I can see their strengths, I can see where that might go. So it was exciting. And I’ve worked with Marcos Siega — who directed the pilot — before, so it was like, I’m going to really go after this show. You do what you do: you audition, you test, you do whatever you need to do. And I’m just lucky I came out on the other side. I just loved the character and I loved the show. It’s something I would watch myself.”

As for Annie Parisse — whose character, Parker, debuts in tonight’s episode — she had a bit of an advantage going into the series.

Comments Off on GLEE: ‘I Do’ Photo Preview — It’s Time for Will and Emma’s Wedding!

GLEE has been teasing the Will and Emma pairing since day 1, and it certainly seems like the duo will be tying the knot in the February 14th episode, “I Do.” (Appropriate timing, no?)

While there are no photos of the happy couple on the big day, these photos do seem to indicate a wedding reception, so…should we assume it goes off without a hitch?

Take a look at photos from “I Do”…

BONES: Hart Hanson Talks Booth/Brennan, Hodgins/Angela, Cam/Arastoo, Brennan’s Mother, and More

January 28, 2013 by

There’s a lot of potential relationship drama on BONES right now.

Hodgins and Angela just lost all their money. Cam’s hiding a secret romance. Sweets and Daisy split (and will soon be reunited, professionally). The only couple who seems to be doing well is Booth and Brennan.

But will that last?

I spoke with BONES creator Hart Hanson about some of the couple drama coming up, the (re)introduction of Brennan’s mother, Sweets’ living arrangements, and more…

Comments Off on THE CARRIE DIARIES: Freema Agyeman Teases ‘Read Before Use,’ Finding Out Carrie’s Secret, and More

Carrie Bradshaw’s introduction to New York takes a very interesting turn when Larissa brings her young protégé to an, um, unusual art club in Monday’s brand new episode of THE CARRIE DIARIES.

“Every time I get a new script, I open pages with nervous anticipation and excitement, thinking, ‘Where is Larissa going to be, what is she going to be doing?'” Freema Agyeman (Larissa) told me. “Because it’s always got to be something that contrasts Carrie’s home life and shocks and entertains and opens [Carrie’s] eyes to a whole new existence…It happens to be that [particular] backdrop in episode three.”

Because of the nature of the scene (and the storyline), the cast had a bit of fun with the prep and filming of the hour.

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Parodies THE VOICE, CATFISH, and Introduces SOPRANOS HIGH

January 27, 2013 by
Filed under Saturday Night Live, SNL

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE sure had a lot of television-inspired parodies during Adam Levine’s episode.

While paying homage to Levine’s show, THE VOICE, was a no-brainer (though the cameos from Andy Samberg, Jerry Seinfeld, and Cameron Diaz were a nice twist), SNL also poked fun at CATFISH, and thanks to THE CARRIE DIARIES, they gave us a high school-set prequel to THE SOPRANOS dubbed SOPRANOS HIGH.

BEN AND KATE Shuts Down Production

January 25, 2013 by
Filed under Ben and Kate, TV News

Well, this is an entirely unpleasant way to end the week: BEN AND KATE — which was just yanked from the Fox lineup — has now ceased production on the final batch of episodes.

While obviously being pulled from the schedule didn’t bode well for the series’ future, continuing production at least meant fans would eventually get to see the final six episodes of the 19-episode season 1 order. Now, it seems a little bit more questionable. (They were in production of episode 16 when it was shut down, but no word yet on whether that installment was completed.)

Are you sad our time with BEN AND KATE seems to be at an end?

THE OFFICE: John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, and Greg Daniels Talk Jim and Pam’s Marriage Issues

Fans of THE OFFICE were more than a little alarmed when in the latest episode, “Customer Loyalty,” Jim and Pam had an over-the-phone fight that was so bad, it caused one of the crew members on the “documentary” that has been “capturing” the past nine seasons of the series to break the fourth wall to try and comfort a very upset Pam.

“We had been very, I think, respectful of their marriage and their relationship,” THE OFFICE showrunner Greg Daniels told reporters on set during last week’s TCA session. “And we didn’t want to put pressures on them for a very long time, and then part of the appeal of this last season, was to try and do that. And it was actually — the specifics of it was John [Krasinski (Jim)]’s idea that he had — in terms of going to Philadelphia and the new company, which I guess had happened to [his] brother [in real life]…”
