First year shows often go through their bumps as they figure out what road they want to take to tell their story, but MARVEL’S  AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. had its own unique challenges: two Marvel movies (THOR 2 and CAPTAIN AMERICA 2) were released during the show’s freshman series, and both films had implications — both big and small — for the story the show was able to tell.
