Kathie Lee Gifford Leaving TODAY

Kathie Lee Gifford is bidding farewell to TODAY, she announced.

“It’s bittersweet as these things always are,” Gifford said in the video below. She noted she has other projects in the pipeline and had originally only intended to stay for a year, but she fell in love with the people. Gifford explicitly credited her co-host, Hoda Kotb, with being such an important force in her life.

Kotb reiterated the love, noting her own life had drastically changed since they worked together. “How does one person step in your life and change it like that?” she said. “You did that for me.”
